Weekend Humor

A farmer was selling his peaches door to door. He knocked on a door and a shapely 30-something woman dressed in a very sheer negligee answered the door. He raised his basket to show her the peaches and asked, "Would you like to buy some peaches?"

She pulled the top of the negligee to one side and asked," Are they as firm as this?" He nodded his head and said, "Yes ma'am," and a little tear ran from his eye.

Then she pulled the other side of her negligee off asking, "Are they nice and pink like this?" The farmer said, "Yes, yes they are," and a little tear came from the other eye.

Then she unbuttoned the bottom of her negligee and asked, "Are they as fuzzy as this?"

He again said, "Yes," and broke down crying.

She asked, "Why on earth are you crying?" Wiping his eyes he replied, "The drought got my corn, the flood got my soy beans, a tornado leveled my barn, and now I think I'm gonna get screwed out of my peaches!"

Confused? (I'm Outraged!)

Just when I think I can not be any further shocked or outraged by gun toting white people killing unarmed Black citizens... Here comes this story....They are saying he was "confused."

I guess you can only say you are afraid for your life so many times ,before it just becomes redundant..

This man in the above photo...Rodney Bruce Black, 62, was charged with murder after he fatally shot Garrick Hopkins, 60, of Milton and his brother, Carl Hopkins Jr., 61, because he thought they were on his property

He apparently shot and killed his new neighbor and the man's brother without warning as the two inspected their land. The shooter told police he thought his alleged victims were breaking into a building he mistakenly thought he owned, and police are baffled as to why he chose such a drastic measure to preserve something of no value to him.
Yes...Tell me why? Please explain that to me!

The Cabell County Sheriff's Department charged Rodney Bruce Black, 62, of Barboursville, with two counts of first degree murder after he killed Garrick Hopkins, 60, of Milton and his brother, Carl Hopkins Jr., 61, of Oak Hill, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sherriff Tom McComas told the Daily News on Monday.

Garrick Hopkins and his wife had just purchased land next door to Black and planned to start building a home in the next few weeks, McComas said. The landowner had invited his brother over to check out the property Saturday afternoon. Black saw the two men — who were both married with children — looking inside a shed. Then, allegedly without warning or calling the police, he grabbed a rifle and fired once at both men. They died at the scene.

"He shot first and then called 911," McComas said. "He said they were breaking into his house but it wasn't his property."

You still want to tell me about gun rights and "Stand Your Ground " laws?  Seems like a license to shoot and kill niggers...That's right...I said it! If you disagree, show me where it's not exactly what I said...

The question is...When does this end?   And if some black person shoots and kills a white person and says..."I was standing my ground...I was afraid for my life " or I thought they were breaking into my worthless shed." Will it still play?  Would the newspapers write that up as "He was confused"?  Me thinks not.

One Of My Favorite Bloggers

Today I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite bloggers....I won't use her government name in this format....But I will shout out her blog..."The F it List-"Throwin Mad shade since 197nunyah"  (http://www.randomnycsarcasm.net/)

You can tell by the title of her blog that she's got a great sense of humor and a wonderful way with words.....

I've been reading or I should say...We have been reading and commenting on each others blogs since around, 2008....When I first came into this blogging game...

Funny the way this game is...I met several like minded African -American bloggers during that time and we became a sort of cyber family...Folks Like Shelly Shell, Mizrepresent, 12Kyle, Eb The Celeb, The Original Glamazon,Southern Girl, The Karrie B. , Smarty Jones,The Field Negro, The Jaded New Yorker, Dollface, et al and many many others...We followed each others blogs and we followed each other to social media outlets like Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest and of course Instagram....

Even though I've communicated and talked to these people over the years like close friends...Sadly,I've never personally met any of them ....UNTIL TODAY!

The author of this great blog was here in the city of brotherly love at lunchtime today for a business meeting and informed me through Facebook that she was only a few blocks from me... I was able to take a subway ride to her destination and meet and have lunch with her...I found her to be just as down to earth in person as she is on her blog...

We talked about the blog community and how Facebook and Twitter has killed it...and she promised me that she is going to start blogging again...Which is why I posted the link to her blog,so you guys can read it and get the wonderful insight that I get from reading it...

I promised her that I was going to give her a shout out on my blog and I have..I hope she sees this .....

Justice Delayed But Not Denied

I wrote a story about the senseless shooting of Jonathan Ferrell a few months ago...This was a college football player, injured in a car accident who was hurt and dazed and went looking for help...apparently he frightened some white woman enough that she called an equally frightened police officer who shot and killed him...

I'm shaking my head at how many frightened white people have shot and killed black people lately...

I had heard that the policeman who killed Ferrell was not going to be indicted...and I was very distraught...I felt like just in the Trayvon Martin case...another killer had gone free..
But...There is a God After All.......
Less than a week after one grand jury declined to charge him, a different one has indicted a Charlotte, N.C., police officer for voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of an unarmed man who was looking for help after a car crash.

Prosecutors resubmitted the case against Officer Randall Kerrick after learning not all 18 members of the original grand jury were present for last Tuesday's vote.

Randall Kerrick, 28, a three-year veteran of the Charlotte police force, shot Jonathan Ferrell, 24, 10 times in a confrontation in September. Jonathan Ferrell had crashed his car and staggered for help to a nearby home, where the resident called 911 to report a possible break-in.

Jonathan Ferrell's family filed a wrongful-death lawsuit earlier this month, arguing that autopsy results showing a downward trajectory by most of the 10 bullets suggested the former Florida A&M University football player was on his knees or on the ground.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department supported the charge against Randall Kerrick, saying his actions were "excessive."
After the first grand jury voted not to indict, Kerrick's attorney had said the officer felt "like the weight of the world has been lifted from his shoulders." Not so fast..

His legal team declined comment on Monday.

Jonathan Ferrell's family said they were grateful for the indictment.

"Shooting an unarmed man 10 times can never be justified under these circumstances," the said. "We will persevere in our quest for justice for not just Jonathan, but all law abiding citizens. After all, what happened to him that night could happen to any of us."

Is Happening to us....

Hopefully Justice will be served.

So Unhip (and kinda proud of it....)

I am so unhip....That's why I didn't watch the Grammys...A majority of the artists nominated are artists I never heard of and I disagreed with a number of the people who won....

For instance...Macklemore and Ryan Lewis...How did they win best rap album of the year? Seriously?? They beat out Jay -Z, Drake, who had a fantastic album....Kendrick Lamar, another incredible album, and even Kanye West's Yeezus?? No way!!

Then these two beat Kendrick Lamar for best new artist!  Are you serious? Again I ask this...And don't ask me about Country and Western...I knew the artists, but hadn't heard them....Rock....I was mildly surprised...
Led Zepplin, David Bowie and Neil Young and Crazy Horse were nominated...(Led Zepplin Won) At least I know who they are...Those are Rock stars from my era...Glad to know they are still recording..

In R&B...Naturally,I did know all of the participants...Winner, Alicia Keys ,no argument there and runners up, John Legend, Chrisette Michelle and TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine & Tank)  Had all of these CD's...

I was happy that Bruno Mars, an under-rated and often over looked talent won a Grammy and sad that the best dance song of last summer,Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines " won nothing.

Somebody tell me who Imagine Dragons,Lorde, Daft Punk,Kacey Musgraves and Queens of the Stone Age are... See..There was a time when I was hip to every artist and every genre....That was a time when there will record stores ,when you didn't rely on Target or Wall mart to get CD's...When MTV and VH-1 and BET still played music videos...

Now all I have is my radio...And my radio station plays only Classic R&B and Soul and a little bit of the contemporary R&B and Hip Hop...As a result, I miss a lot....

So see...There was no need in me watching the Grammys...I would have been lost...

Weekend Humor

One day a little boy woke up and sat down at the table expecting breakfast. However, his mother says, “You don’t get any breakfast until you do your chores.”

A little upset, the boy goes out to do his chores. When he goes to milk the cow, he kicks it. When he goes to get eggs he kicks a chicken, and when he goes to feed the pigs, he kicks a pig.

When the little boy sits down his mother gives him a bowl of dry cereal. “Where is the bacon, eggs and milk?” asks the little boy.

His mother replies, “I saw you kick the cow, so you don’t get any milk, I saw you kick a chicken so you don’t get eggs, and I saw you kick a pig so you don’t get any bacon!”

Just as she finishes saying this, the boy’s father comes down the stairs, trips over the family's pussy cat then turns around and kicks it.

The little boy looks up at his mother with a big grin and asks, “Do you want to tell him, or should I?”

The Sherman Controversy

By now most of you, unless you've been living under a rock either saw Sunday's Football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Sea-Hawks and it's aftermath....If you didn't see the game and I admit..I only saw the fourth quarter, you at least know two things...Sportscaster,Pam Oliver had on a bad weave...
And the Sea hawks shut down cornerback, Richard Sherman went ballistic afterwords...He was being interviewed after the game, after he had made the winning play...he tipped a potential game winning pass to his rival, Wide receiver, Crabtree out of his hands and into the waiting hands of his team-mate and thus his Seattle Seahawks won the game, 23-17 and are on their way to the superbowl..

He went on a kind of tirade, declaring himself the best shut down cornerback in the NFL, deriding Crabtree and scaring the beejezzus out of the little blonde ,white woman who was interviewing him...

I viewed it originally as arrogant and bad sportsmanship on his part...You could take it or leave it...Social media exploded though with racist tweets and statuses from some of the more ignorant citizens in our republic...calling the man a "Thug" and a "Coon".  One person named "Derek" said to give him a break because the next day, Martin Luther King's birthday holiday ,which this guy would probably be celebrating himself..was "National Nigger Day."

New England Quarterback Tom Brady cusses his receivers and backs out after a Patriots loss and he is called "Passionate"...Pittsburg Steeler's Quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger allegedly raped two girls and though he has never been charged with the crimes...He has never been called a rapist or a thug...Yet Mike Vick and now this guy,Richard Sherman are villified by some white sports fans...

Most Black people know the deal...That we still live in a country where there are two seperate sets of rules ...A set for white boys and a set for black people in general.  I know that by me saying that ,they will say that I'm playing the so called race card and that I am a reverse racist...Whatever the hell that is.  So be it.. It's true and if they could be honest, they would admit it.

Could Sherman have toned down his enthusiasm some? Yes.. Could he have shown better sportsmanship?? Sure?? Does he deserve to be called a gorilla, a coon, a thug?? HELL NO!

As my Frat brother Lmani S. Viney said and I quote-

"As Black men we often have had our voices marginalized. How many of us have been told to be careful how we speak? How many times have we seen Black men demonized for being outspoken? Remember Dez Bryant? People were up in arms calling him a bad teammate UNTIL they heard what he really said. Remember Nolan Richardson? The only coach to win a NCAA championship but after speaking out about institutional racism couldn't find a job.

Oh but you say thats sports? Ok. Remember President Obama? Yeah that's right. Remember when he spoke out in defense of one of the most respected academics-Henry Louis Gates-getting arrested in his own house by saying the police acted "stupidly" and caught hell on earth from it and had to apologize to every single person in the world it seemed."

The Sherman Controversy wouldn't even be a controversy if the cowards who flood social media hadn't brought race into it...They say hateful things under code names that would never say to a Black person's face or around other Black people...

So I ask...Who was playing the race card this time?

Keith's Music Spotlight

I heard this song by this artist on the radio the other day and it immediately caught my attention...Quincy Jones always said that everything begins with a great song...No matter how talented a singer you are ,and there are song great ones out there...You have to have a good song or your talent won't matter.

This young man, George Tandy Jr. is not only a good singer, but he has a great song out in "March"

His bio on his website says- "George Tandy Jr. creates brilliant music that is rich with honesty, vulnerability and raw emotion. He is not your typical church singing choir boy or even a classically trained vocalist or pianist but his messages are conveyed clearly and powerfully. Fans often refer to his voice as hypnotizing and pure. Each piece of music creates an inner journey to a time and place that is unique to the listener. Whether it is about sex, relationships, or worldly affairs you will feel every moment in the song. You can call it R&B, folk music or even call it jazz. Some call it soul with a hint of hip hop and note his classical music influences. No matter what you call it, you are correct every time. George personally prefers to call his music "Soulternative." Regardless of genre, his sound is certainly unique and George is determined to gain fans, supporters as well as new friends one song at a time. He believes that music heals people. Soon people all across the world will be proudly stating, "I am TeamTandy!" once they get a taste.

" George Tandy Jr. simply comes alive on stage! He creates songs with a witty and introspective mind and performs them with an electrifying charm that absolutely takes over any venue! Born into a family of artists, music lovers and entertainers George developed a passion for entertaining. Sounds have always intrigued him. As a child you could find George listening intensely to any genre of music, attempting to pick out every instrument in the song. He was inspired early on by his father, George Tandy Sr., a well accomplished jazz musician and producer. "I didn't live with him as a child, so music was my connection to my Dad growing up. He supports me one hundred percent," says GTJ. Tandy Jr. played clarinet, snare drum, and French horn in school in Virginia. After graduating high school his beautiful mother encouraged him to move to Florida to pursue his dreams in the arts. This turned out to be some of the best advice she ever shared with him. Florida is where GTJ would get the most valuable training. Candi Tandy (also known as Mama Tandy) who is vocal coach/artist developer, gave him the tools and confidence he needed to realize his dreams by cultivating his writing skills, his ear for melody, and his natural ability to entertain. After years of writing and recording songs with his extremely talented siblings as well as training, performing, competing, and touring the world as a hip hop dancer, GTJ decided to venture out as a solo artist. Armed with only his voice and his keyboard he took to the stage. The south Florida spoken word poetry nights and "open mic" scene gained him thousands of dedicated supporters.

"Hoping to gain national and international exposure, George's solo efforts landed him a few production deals and label deals that unfortunately were not the right fit for him. He has now combined both his resources as well as his talent with an independent label, RedStar Entertainment (a division of Redline Media Group.) With the right team now in place the sky is the limit! Be on the lookout for songs from his first solo project entitled, "The Foundation."
Be TeamTandy!

I heard this song and I'm team Tandy...I hope you will be too.

Weekend Humor

After a long illness, a woman died and arrived at the Gates of Heaven. While she was waiting for Saint Peter to greet her, she peeked through the Gates. She saw a beautiful banquet table. Sitting all around were her parents and all the other people she had loved and who had died before her.

They saw her and began calling greetings to her – “Hello” “How are you!
We’ve been waiting for you!” “Good
to see you”.

When Saint Peter came by, the woman said to him “This is such a Wonderful place! How do I get in?”

“You have to spell a word”, Saint Peter told her.

“Which word?” the woman asked.

“Love.”

The woman correctly spelled “Love” and Saint Peter welcomed her into Heaven.

About six months later, Saint Peter came to the woman and asked her to watch the Gates of Heaven for him that day.

While the woman was guarding the Gates of Heaven, her husband arrived.

“I’m surprised to see you”,
the woman said. “How have you been?”

“Oh, I’ve been doing pretty well since you died,”
her husband told her. “I married the beautiful young nurse who took care of you while you were ill. And then I won the lottery. I sold the little house you and I lived in and bought a big mansion. And my wife and I traveled all around the world. We were on vacation and I went water skiing today. I fell, the ski hit my head, and here I am. How do I get in?”

“You have to spell a word”, the woman told him.

“Oh Which word is that?” her husband asked.

“Czechoslovakia.”she said.

Oh Florida!

That state of Florida is in the news again and once again it's for a violent act which brings the stand your ground law to the front pages of the news...

It's Tampa ,Florida where Chad Ousley, 43, was shot and killed yesterday while on a mid-afternoon movie date with his wife Nicole. Ousley was killed by Curtis Reeves, 71, a retired police officer who apparently verbally confronted Ousley for texting during the previews prior to the movie, after which a war of words led to popcorn being thrown between the two men and regrettably, culminated with Reeves pulling out a. 380 weapon and firing a single shot that went through Nicole Ousley’s hand and struck Chad in the chest, killing him almost instantly.

Yes, you heard me right, a husband and father of a 3 year old daughter is dead now because some angry asshole was pissed that he was texting prior to the start of the movie. I can't read minds, but I’m willing to wager that Curtis Reeves, now charged with second degree murder, will assert that he was in fear of the younger Ousley and merely was “standing his ground” by shooting into his torso. Isn't that what certain people always say to justify killing somebody?

The nation if not the world has certainly watched as Florida has become ground zero in determining the effectiveness of such laws first when Trayvon Martin, 17, was killed by George Zimmerman, who initially and up to eight weeks before his trial last summer asserted that he, indeed, stood his ground, and later Jordan Davis, 17, who was shot after Michael Dunn took issue with loud music that was being played in a vehicle in which Davis was a passenger.

Both Trayvon Martin’s and Jordan Davis’ shootings drew much media attention, but during George Zimmerman’s trial last summer, one of the underlying themes proffered by Stand Your Ground supporters was that Trayvon Martin was a thug and that George Zimmerman may have been justified in the killing once he was losing the physical confrontation and feared, according to his lawyers as he did not testify, for his life.

I wonder what these same supporters will say now that a more mature husband and father has been shot over another’s subjective fear of being endangered? This, coupled with the fact that many of the individuals who have received the benefits of Stand Your Ground laws in Florida have been young gang bangers, continues to cause me to question the wisdom of our “law and order” GOP dominated legislature on this issue.

It causes me concern over a lot of things...but then, that's just me!

Cruel Winter

Sometimes I am just astonished at the mindset of this Republican led congress, who have successfully voted to cut the unemployment benefits of many Americans...Perhaps they don't understand or see the despair and destruction that this leads to...

Some people who have lost their benefits say they'll begin early retirement. Others will pile on debt to pay for school. Many will likely lean on family to get by.

A cutoff of benefits for the long-term unemployed has left more than 1.3 million Americans with a stressful decision:  What now?

Without their unemployment checks, many will abandon what had been a futile search and will no longer look for a job — an exodus that could dwarf the 347,000 Americans who stopped seeking work in December. Beneficiaries have been required to look for work to receive unemployment checks.
Some who lost their benefits say they'll begin an early and unplanned retirement. Others will pile on debt to pay for school and an eventual second career. Many will likely lean on family, friends and other government programs to get by.

They're people like Stan Osnowitz, a 67-year-old electrician in Baltimore who lost his state unemployment benefits of $430 a week. The money put gasoline in his car to help him look for work.
Osnowitz says a continuation of his benefits would have enabled his job search to continue into spring, when construction activity usually increases and more electrical jobs become available.

Mr. Osnowitz says a continuation of his benefits would have enabled his job search to continue into spring, when construction activity usually increases and more electrical jobs become available.

He says he's sought low-paid work at stores like Lowe's or Home Depot. But he acknowledges that at his age, the prospect of a minimum-wage job is depressing.
"I have two choices," Osnowitz says. "I can take a job at McDonald's or something and give up everything I've studied and everything I've worked for and all the experience that I have. Or I can go to retirement."

In this Jan. 10, 2014, photo, Stan Osnowitz, an electrician with 43 years of experience, displays tools from his work bag in his apartment in Baltimore. "I like what I do," he said. "It's not a job. It's a hobby." (AP Photo/Patrick Semansky)

Unemployment benefits were extended as a federal emergency move during the 2008 financial crisis at a time of rising unemployment. The benefits have gone to millions who had exhausted their regular state unemployment checks, typically after six months. Last month, the extended-benefits program was allowed to expire, a casualty of deficit-minded lawmakers who argue that the government can't afford to fund it indefinitely and that unemployment benefits do little to put people back to work.
The duration of the federal benefits has varied from state to state up to 47 weeks. As a result, the long-term unemployed in Rhode Island, for example, could receive a total of 73 weeks — 26 weeks of regular benefits, plus 47 weeks from the now-expired federal program.

Outside Cincinnati, Tammy Blevins, 57, fears that welfare is her next step. She was let go as a machine operator at a printing plant in May. Her unemployment check and a small inheritance from her father helped cover her $1,000-a-month mortgage and $650 health insurance premium. Now, with her benefits cut off and few openings in manufacturing, she dreads what could be next.

"I'm going to have to try the welfare thing, I guess," Blevins says. "I don't know. I'm lost."
Others plan to switch careers. After being laid off last summer as a high school history teacher, Jada Urquhart enrolled at Ohio State University to become a social worker.
Urquhart, 58, has already borrowed against her house, canceled cable-TV and turned down the thermostat despite the winter chill. Without an unemployment check, she plans to max out her credit cards and take on student loans to complete her degree by 2015.

"I'll be 60 when I graduate," she says. "If I do one-on-one or family counseling, I can work forever."
Urquhart finds herself in sympathy with members of Congress who want to limit government spending. At least in theory she does.

"It's just hard when you're the one getting shrunk," she says.  Exactly...Now how can this person be a Republican or side with them? Not saying that either one of these people, both of whom are white are...but they are being forced into welfare...Same as so many black and latino people..

One sign of the persistently tight job market: The percentage of Americans either working or looking for work has reached its lowest monthly level in nearly 36 years, the Labor Department said Friday. The unemployment rate fell in December to 6.7 percent from 7 percent. But that drop occurred mainly because more Americans stopped looking for jobs, many of them out of frustration. Once people without jobs stop looking for one, the government no longer counts them as unemployed.

Because unemployment benefits require recipients to look for work, many who would have given up kept seeking a job. The federal benefits eased their financial hardship. But the fundamental problem goes beyond unemployment aid: A shortage of decent-paying jobs for those still coping with the aftermath of the Great Recession.

Jesse Rothstein, an economist at the University of California, Berkeley, who has studied the long-term unemployed, has found that extended benefits help both the recipients and the economy — by fueling consumer spending.

"A Band-Aid doesn't heal a serious wound, but that isn't much of a reason not to use one," Rothstein says

The trend of people ending their job hunts once their benefits expire has already emerged in North Carolina, which started cutting off aid in July. North Carolina's unemployment rate sank from 8.8 percent in June to 7.4 percent in November, but mainly because people stopped their job searches.
But some congressional Republicans argue that guaranteed unemployment checks that go on for more than a year lead many workers to take excessive time to try to land an ideal job, instead of settling for whatever they can find.

Senate Democrats and President Barack Obama have pushed to restore the program. But they need to agree on how to pay for it— a key demand from Republicans concerned about a potential $20 billion hit to the federal budget deficit.

The longer people remain jobless, the more likely their skills are to erode and the more likely employers are to ignore their resumes, according to economic research. The result is that many eventually stop looking for work and turn instead to other government programs such as Social Security Disability Insurance.
"If those workers don't ever get back, they're not going to be earning income, they're not going to be paying taxes," says Josh Mitchell, an economic researcher at the Urban Institute.

Compared with people who've been out of work for weeks, the long-term unemployed tend to be older and more concentrated in manufacturing and construction, according to research by Mitchell.

A majority of the long-term unemployed have children. An increasing share — 28.6 percent vs. 24.2 percent in 2007 — attended college but didn't receive a degree. And most live in the South and West, where the housing bust that sparked the recession was most intense.

About 38 percent of all unemployed workers — or 3.9 million — have been out of a job six months or more. That's nearly double the proportion it was when Congress previously ended emergency benefits in 2003 and in 1994, notes Heidi Shierholz, an economist at the liberal-leaning Economic Policy Institute.
But many workers say they would rather have jobs than more benefits.

"It's just been a struggle forever," says Blevins, the laid-off machine operator. "I don't want nothing for free."

These are decent people...Decent people of all races who want to work...Who would rather work than to take government aid or benefits...People that can't work because of a congress peopled with idiots who hate this President more than they love America and who are cutting things like unemployment benefits under the guise of balancing the budget!!!

It's going to be a cruel winter!

America!  America!  God shed his grace on thee!

Just Who is Bridget Kelly?

My frat brother Larry G. says there are two crime axioms  Cherchez la femme (Find the woman) and Follow the money! (Watergate's Deep Throat, for one...).

If we use the first axiom, Follow the woman....then let's ask ourselves.....Who is the woman, Bridget Ann Kelly in the center of the Chris Christie bridge scandal??
The femme fatale Christie aide ousted for orchestrating the George Washington Bridge traffic scheme that delayed ambulances and left schoolkids trapped on buses is a New Jersey soccer mom whose brother is an EMT.

Bridget Anne Kelly, 41 — fired Thursday by Christie for repeatedly lying about her political payback plan  was described by neighbors as a “typical suburban mom” who sends her four kids, ages 17, 14, 10 and 7, to Catholic schools.

“I am just shocked that she could be so petty and reckless,” a mom whose daughter attends the same school as some of Kelly’s brood told The New York Post.

Even more stunning,is that Kelly’s brother, Eamon Daul, is a longtime emergency responder who trains new EMTs, works as a firefighter and is the EMS supervisor at New Jersey’s St. Clare’s Health Care Systems, according to public records.

His sister’s little September bridge stunt delayed responses to 911 calls, including one to the Fort Lee residence of a 91-year-old woman whom officials and family members said died before EMTs could reach her.

Another of Kelly’s brothers, state employee Liam Daul, was likely doing a slow burn Thursday at his $70,000-a-year trading gig in the investment unit of the New Jersey Treasury.

“Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee,” Bridget Kelly wrote in her now infamous Aug. 13 e-mail that signaled the go-ahead for the massive, three-day lane closure plan that wrought havoc on the GWB.
Christie said Thursday he was “embarrassed and humiliated” by Kelly’s actions — and he isn’t the first man blindsided by the cutthroat blonde, sources said. (Oh really? Now you go there Crispy Creme?)

Her husband, Joe — a golf pro at the Mendham Golf & Tennis Club, where Christie and wife Mary Pat are members — was stunned when his wife of 16 years came home in 2011 and announced she wanted a divorce.

“The guy was a wreck. It was completely out of the blue,” a source said. I'm a married man and believe me when I tell you...Something like that is never just out of the blue.

Records show Bridget Kelly filed for divorce in December 2011, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was granted in February 2012. She got their Ramsey home, and he moved to Upper Saddle River. They have joint custody of their two daughters and two sons.

Neither Joe nor Bridget Kelly could be reached for comment on Thursday. No surprise there.

Bridget Kelly’s spectacular flame-out ended a nearly two-decade Republican political career. After graduating Maryland’s Mount St. Mary’s University in 2004, she went to work as a legislative aide.
She jointed the Christie administration in 2010 as director of legislative relations and in April 2013 was tapped for her $140,000-a-year job as a deputy chief of staff.

So...if we now follow the money....What do you think will happen next to Ms. Kelly...

Over zealous or not...I don't personally think she did all of this with at least not a wink and a nod from the top...Someone higher than her...In a big mess like this....Somebody has to fall on their sword...Take one for the team....

She's a single mom with four kids. She's spent 20 years in GOP politics, to get to her $140K with Gov. Christie. So watch where she winds up, who she works for next. She's done in politics in NJ, so who will hire her? I say a connected friend of Christie.

It will be done very quietly....It will make the bottom column of page 56,it if makes the newspapers at all...but she will be taken care of....This is how these things always work.

Weekend Humor

At 85 years, Morris marries a lovely 25 year old woman. Because her new husband is so old the woman decides that on their wedding night they should have separate bedrooms. She is concerned that the old fellow could overexert himself. After the wedding festivities she prepares herself for bed and for the knock on the door she is expecting. Sure enough the knock comes and there is her groom ready for action. They unite in conjugal union and all goes well whereupon he takes his leave of her and she prepares to go to sleep for the night.

After a few minutes there's a knock on the door and there old Morris is again ready for more action. Somewhat surprised she consents to further coupling which is again successful after which the octogenarian bids her a fond good night and leaves. She is certainly ready for slumber at this point, and is close to sleep, for the second time when there is another knock at the door and there he is again fresh as a 25 year old and ready for more.

Once again they do the horizontal boogie. As they're laying in afterglow the young bride says to him, "I am really impressed that a man your age has enough juice to go at it three times. I've been with guys less than half your age who were only good for one time. You're a great lover Morris." Morris looks confused, and turns to her and says," I was here already?"

Everybody have a super groovy weekend!

A Bridge Too Far

Okay, maybe I could have chosen a better photo of him...but you gotta admit...It is fitting isn't it?  That's New Jersey Governor ,Chris Christie.....My wife loves him...Well, she thinks he's funny and a straight shooter...I must admit...Governor Crispy Creme as I have called him..(Come on, you know how much I hate republicans!)is a bit of a personality....but make no mistake about who he is....and what he ultimately stands for...

He appears to be in a bit of a controversy.....Yesterday,New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie denied knowing about a scheme orchestrated by his administration to bully a local political rival, calling the reported actions of a top aide "unacceptable."

He vowed to hold members of his administration accountable.
Governor Christie said he was previously unaware of apparent actions taken by his deputy chief of staff to orchestrate the controversial closure of local access lanes to the congested George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, N.J., in the midst of a re-election campaign. The action prompted massive traffic gridlock in the city on its first day of school.

"What I've seen today for the first time is unacceptable," Christie said in a statement. "I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge."For his sake..I hope what he is saying is true.

The explosive emails by Bridget Anne Kelly to Port Authority aide David Wildstein were made public by news organizations yesterday, and contradict previous assurances by Governor Christie that his administration was not involved in the lane closures, and that they were not politically-motivated.

"One thing is clear: this type of behavior is unacceptable and I will not tolerate it because the people of New Jersey deserve better," Christie added. "This behavior is not representative of me or my Administration in any way, and people will be held responsible for their actions.”

Democrats have charged the closures were an attempt at political retribution for Mayor Mark Sokolich, a Democrat who declined to endorse Christie's re-election effort last year and whose city sits in the shadow of the bridge.

But the emails threaten to undercut the governor's strong denial that politics played any role in the closure.
"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," Christie Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly wrote to Christie Port Authority aide David Wildstein on Aug. 13, weeks before the lane closures that snarled traffic on the first day of school in New Jersey last fall.
Wildstein replied, "Got it."

The exchange has erupted into a political firestorm for Governor Chris Christie, a top contender for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016, because it cuts at key elements of his appeal: Namely his supposed ability to work with Democrats as well as Republicans, and his brash style of politics.

In one of the more revealing exchanges, an unidentified person sent this text message about delayed school buses to Wildstein on Sept. 10, the second day of the lane closures:

"Is it wrong that I am smiling?"

Wildstein: "No."

NBC's Mark Murray and MSNBC's Steve Kornacki discuss the latest developments on the Chris Christie "Bridgegate."
Person: "I feel badly about the kids. I guess."

Wildstein: "They are the children of Buono voters."

Buono is the Democrat whom Christie defeated in last year's gubernatorial race in case you didn't know.

Governor Christie had previously denied involvement with the lane closures, and "absolutely, unequivocally" denied that the closures were politically motivated after accepting the resignation of a top port authority official in December.

He also maintained that members of his administration had assured him that they were not involved with the lane closures.

In response to the revelations, Buono, Christie's former challenger in last year's gubernatorial investigation, called for a federal investigation.

"Everyone who had knowledge of the closing should be terminated immediately and the Department of Justice should conduct a thorough investigation to determine whether other towns in New Jersey suffered because the Governor wanted to get revenge," Buono said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

Ahead of his reelection last fall, Christie was seeking endorsements from North Jersey Democrats to promote his ability to forge bipartisanship. Christie and his team did attract several endorsements from North Jersey Democrats, but there were some holdouts, including the Mayor of Fort Lee, just across the Hudson River from Manhattan.

One day last September, two bridge access lanes to the George Washington Bridge from Fort Lee were cut off – a bridge that is the busiest in the world, according to the Port Authority.

New Jersey Port Authority officials said it was for a traffic study. But the mayor of Fort Lee charged that it was political retribution for not endorsing Christie, something thought to be a far-flung charge. That is until a hearing looking into the matter in December seemed to give some credence to that theory.

I wonder if this is real life or am I watching Nucky Thompson on  HBO's Boardwalk Empire in action...It certainly seems like it.

A New York Port Authority official testified that he was unaware of any such study. Two Christie appointees wound up resigning.

Now these emails, released to state investigators by subpoena, reveal the greater depth to which Christie aides sought payback against Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich, derided by one Christie aide in the released emails as a “little Serbian” and threatening that “it will be a tough November” for him.

NBC affilliates in New York City have reported that  Wildstein supplied the exchanges in response to a subpoena by state lawmakers investigating the lane closures. Wildstein, the former port authority's director of interstate capital projects, resigned in December shortly before Bill Baroni, the deputy executive director of the New York-New Jersey Port Authority, also resigned.

I might ,until it is proven otherwise give Governor Crispy Creme the benefit of the doubt on this one...Say that maybe some of his over zealous associates did this without his knowledge...but I am in no way thinking that it is improbable he might not have gave the nod to them....

Yes..he is quite the amusing personality at times...but like I said...Make no mistake about who and what he is...That's all I'm saying.

If It Looks Like A Double Standard

Still giving you all an update with the Marrisa Alexander case... If you didn't know..Marrisa Alexander is The Florida woman – who had been serving a 20-year sentence for firing what she described as a warning shot at her abusive husband –

Although no one was injured in the incident, a jury convicted Marissa Alexander of multiple counts of aggravated assault with a firearm in 2012, requiring a 20 year sentence thanks to Florida’s “10-20-Life” law, which sets mandatory minimum sentences for crimes committed with a gun. Her conviction was overturned in September when a judge ordered a retrial after finding that the jury instructions in her original trial were erroneous and had unfairly put the burden on Alexander to prove that she had fired her shot in self-defense.

Marissa Alexander had spent more than 1,000 days behind bars, according to her lawyers’ count, keeping her away from her youngest child for most of the first three years of her life.

With that said...Yesterday,Florida State Attorney Angela Corey filed a motion late Monday evening to revoke the bond of Marissa Alexander.

According to local news, Ms.Alexander was ordered to remain on home detention as a condition of her release. However, the state attests that Alexander allegedly left her home numerous times to run errands.

Ms.Alexander was released on bond November 27, 2013. She is currently awaiting a new trial for firing a warning shot in the ceiling during an altercation with her ex-husband. The motion will be reviewed on Friday, January 10, at 9 a.m.

Is it just me or was this guy in the photo above George Zimmerman, accused of murdering the unarmed Trayvon Martin in 2012 let out on bail TWICE after the initial murder and then lying.

This guy has been arrested for two violent incidents with women since then...The assault on his estranged wife and her father and an assault last year of his girlfriend....Each time he was released on bail... with no strings attached...

I know, I know...Those of you who actually believe that under law this guy is somehow innocent will say I'm arguing apples and oranges...but it looks pretty fishy to me....

If it looks like a double standard, walks like a double standard and quacks like a double standard...then more than likely...it is a double standard...

RACIST DOUBLE STANDARDS UNDER THE LAW MUST NO LONGER STAND!!

What I've Learned

1.Every New Years is just that, a New Year.

2.Each New Year is a blessing.

3.Resolutions are only important if you keep them.

4.I've made hundreds of resolutions...Can't tell you how many I've kept.

5.The only time I get writers block is when I don't have an idea.

6. Writers Block never lasts long for me because I'm always getting fresh ideas eventually.

7.Girls would tell you not only what they had for lunch, but what their girlfriends had for lunch....I wouldn't tell my mother or anybody for that matter a thing about my inner life when I was a teenager....It was then I learned the difference between males and females.

8.Despite what I wrote above...Nobody would ever mistake me for the strong, silent type...Silent being the operative word...

9.I still learn a lot every day.

10. Writing is liberating for me...It has always been my escape.

Peace!

Weekend Humor

Neck Jokes-

1.There were some backwoods hillbillies living across the river from each other, who feuded constantly. John hated Clarence with a passion and never passed up a chance to throw rocks across the river at Clarence. This went on for years until one day the Corps of Engineers came to build a bridge across that river.

John was elated; he told his wife that finally he was going to get the chance to cross over and whip Clarence. He left the house and returned in a matter of minutes.

His wife asked what was wrong, didn't he intend to go over the bridge and whip Clarence? He replied that he never had really seen Clarence up close and didn't realize his size until he started over the bridge and saw the sign: "CLEARANCE 8 FT 3 IN"

2. There is a Redneck Cop sleeping in his cruiser one night. All of a sudden he is awakened by a loud crash. The cop gets out of his car and walks up the road a piece when he notices a car in the ditch.

"Damn" he says, "There's a car in the ditch!" He takes out his notebook and writes "car in D-I-T-C-H" for his report. He walked up the road a bit further and notices another car in the ditch. So he writes "another car in ditch....D-I-T-C-H" for his report.

The cop decides to head back to his car to make the report when he notices a head in the middle of the boulevard. "Damn, somebody's head's in the middle of the boulevard!"

He gets out his notebook again and begins writing "head in middle of" Then he thinks, boulevard? "B-O..." no, no "B-U..." "Aww hell" he says and he kicks the head into the ditch "D-I-T-C-H".

3. Q: What do a redneck divorce and a tornado have in common?

A: Either way somebody loses a trailer home!
