Heritage Of Hatred

If you read the meme above that just about says everything......

"As a people we are fighting to maintain the Heaven-ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause."
—William T. Thompson (April 23, 1863)

That is what the flag's  designer said....And face it...The Ku Klux Klan and White Supremacist groups have made this flag their flag and have been shown in photos with this flag for years....

This flag is just as ugly as the Nazi flag is to the Jewish people and White Supremacist groups have used that flag too...

Both flags symbolize the ugliest and darkest hours of the human soul and shouldn't even be in a museum if you ask me...but that's just my opinion...

They would never fly the Nazi flag anywhere a large group of Jewish people reside and to fly that flag in a state or anywhere with a huge population of African-Americans is an affront....

Taking that flag down from state houses though is just symbolic...It doesn't destroy the racist cancer that is inherent in the hearts of many Americans... Far too many...Some who are arrogantly proud of their racism and wear it like a badge of courage...

I'd rather we remove that racist cancer in their hearts than take down some old piece of cloth...It's just easier to take down the piece of cloth.

Weekend Humor

Two guys driving and there car breaks So they got to a fruit farmer and say "Fruit farmer do you have a place for us to stay tonight"

The fruit farmer replies "Sure you can stay upstairs with my daughter just no sleeping with her"

Unfortunately his daughter was a knock out so the two guys screwed the hell out of her The next day the fruit farmer says "Since you  boys disobeyed me I want each of you to go out in my fields and pick a hundred pieces of your favorite fruit."

Relieved, the two guys said "I thought he would be pissed."

So the two guys set out to pick there fruit.

The first guy comes back with a hundred cherries. To his surprise he finds himself staring at a double-barrelled shotgun And the fruit farmer says "Now shove them all up you ass"

Well the guy gets to 25 and he starts giggling, He gets to 50 and he starts laughing, Finally gets to a hundred and he is laughing so hard pees a small stream down the inside of his trousers .

Not amused the fruit farmer yells "What the hell so goddamn funny?"

The guy replies "I'm just laughing at my buddy because he is picking watermelons"

Thank You Crystal Wright for yet another great joke!

The Conversation We Must Have

First off ,let me offer this disclaimer...I did not write the narrative I'm about to share with you...A friend of a friend on Facebook posted this...But I could have written this..This says everything that needs to be said about the state of race in this country today...

Until everyone begins to look beyond individual acts of malice for their definiton of racism, and personal assuaging of conscience because "that's not me," there's not a lot to discuss or hope for progress.

So non-black, non-prejudiced friends, it's about more than being horrified at the onslaught of brutality against black people. It's about more than recognizing that this is "horrible." It's about more than realizing that this is wrong and being saddened for a few days while returning to your life as usual while black people have to process trauma, grief, and tragedy.

Black people have to figure out how to move past our emotions and figure out what to do individually and collectively.

We have to figure out how to teach our children to live freely while recognizing the danger, yes danger, we and they face on a daily basis. We have to figure out how to live without the injustice consuming us, and how to survive without being cowards.

All of that is something you don't face, ever. And that, my friends, is just a simple example of white privilege.

So if you care, if you really care, you'll begin to learn what institutional racism is. You will learn what white supremacy and white privilege are and will acknowledge that they are ingrained in every facet of American life including politics, the media, education, social welfare, the law, housing, religion, and finance.

Everything. You won't tell black people how we should feel or what we should do. You won't tell us how to protest because the ugly truth is that no matter if we protest peacefully or aggressively, if we advocate for peaceful resistance or encourage bearing arms, we're at the same risk of death. Both Malcom X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were assassinated, feel me?

You will acknolwdge that race is the gaping wound this country tries to cover with a dollar store band-aid when, in fact, reconstructive surgery is needed.

You will listen with open hearts and minds. You will find and read the works of anti racist advocates and essayists.

If you really care you will have the courage to risk troubling the waters of your social circles and will perhaps disrupt your social status quo to challenge your friends, teach them, and use social media and other means to speak out and take other action to impact change.

If you're unwilling to do that then I ask that you spare me the expressions of sympathy, remorse, and attempted understanding. I don't WANT to discuss any of this (Charleston, police brutality, or anything connected to race) with you if you're not willing to take those risks.

That may be uncomfortable, scary and require courage. Well, to that all I can say is "welcome to the struggle."

No...I didn't write the above...but I could have...Every thinking Black Man ,Woman and Child could have written these very words!

Welcome to our world...Our collective African-American Reality....White people can no longer afford the luxury of their silence while these atrocities such as last week's massacre in Charleston keep occurring.

You say these are just isolated events....Well, there seems to be an isolated event every week.

Weekend Humor

Sean Connery was interviewed by Donahue, and bragged that despite his 72 years of age, he could still have sex three times a night.

Kylie Minogue, who was also a guest, looked intrigued. After the show, Kylie said, "Sean, if I am not being too forward, I’d love to have sex with an older man. Let’s go back to my place."

So they go back to her place and have great sex.

Afterwards, Sean says, "If you think that was good, let me sleep for half an hour, and we can have even better sex. But while I’m sleeping, hold my balls in your left hand and my dick in your right hand."

Kylie looks a bit perplexed, but says, "Okay".

He sleeps for half an hour, awakens, and they have even better sex. Then Sean says, "Kylie, that was wonderful. But if you let me sleep for an hour, we can have the best sex yet. But again, hold my balls in your left hand, and my dick in your right hand."

Kylie is now used to the routine and complies. The results are mind blowing. Once it’s all over, and the cigarettes are lit, Kylie asks "Sean, tell me, does my holding your balls in my left hand and your dick in my right stimulate you while you’re sleeping?"

Sean replies, "No, but the last time I slept with a slut from Melbourne, she stole my wallet."

Thank you Crystal Wright...for that joke...Everybody have a super groovy weekend!

9 Dead In South Carolina

I had to wait until I was in a mood to write about this latest atrocity...Seems like this is becoming a weekly thing...A hate crime...Black people dead or being abused....White media white washing(pun intended) the entire deal and spinning the story in which the black victim is somehow responsible for being murdered or abused...

I shudder having to explain to my Black Grandchildren that they aren't safe anywhere in Amerika because of the color of their skin...They're not safe on the block, in a car, in school ,at a pool party and now...NOT EVEN IN CHURCH!..

As you know...An ignorant and deranged 21 year old White male went inside a Black church in Charleston ,South Carolina and gunned down nine people...Nine people who were in the house of God...praying..Was he afraid for his life too?

The facts-
A white man suspected of shooting nine people dead during Bible study at a historic African-American church in South Carolina was arrested on Thursday, a day after a massacre that authorities say was motivated by racial hatred.

The mass shooting set off an intense 14-hour manhunt that ended when 21-year-old Dylann Roof was arrested in a traffic stop in a small North Carolina town, 220 miles (350 km) north of Charleston, South Carolina, where the shooting occurred, officials said.

Dylann Roof, whose social media profile suggests a fascination with white supremacy, waived his right to extradition and was flown back to South Carolina hours after his arrest.

Wednesday's gun violence at the nearly 200-year-old Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church caps a year of turmoil and protests over race relations, law enforcement and criminal justice in the United States.

Four pastors, including Democratic state Senator Clementa Pinckney, 41, were among the six women and three men shot dead at the church nicknamed "Mother Emanuel," which was burned to the ground in the late 1820s after a slave revolt led by one of its founders and was later rebuilt.

"The fact that this took place in a black church obviously raises questions about a dark part of our history," said U.S. President Barack Obama. "Once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun."

The United States has seen a series of mass shootings in recent years, including the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, where a gunman killed 20 children and six adults. Democratic efforts to reform the nation's gun laws failed after that incident.

A man who identified himself as Carson Cowles,Dylann  Roof's uncle, told Reuters that Dylann's  father had recently given him a .45-caliber handgun as a birthday present and that Roof had seemed adrift.
"I don't have any words for it," Cowles, 56, said in a telephone interview. "Nobody in my family had seen anything like this coming."

Dylann Roof was armed with a handgun when confronted by police but surrendered peacefully as he was taken into custody, said Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen.

In a Facebook profile apparently belonging to Roof, a portrait showed him wearing a jacket emblazoned with the flags of apartheid-era South Africa and of the former Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, both formerly ruled by white minorities. Ironically Many of his Facebook friends were black.

Roof was arrested on two separate occasions at a shopping mall earlier this year for a drug offense and trespassing, according to court documents.

Roof's mother, Amy, declined to comment when reached by phone.

" We will be doing no interviews, ever," she said before hanging up.

Police said the church shooting unfolded about an hour after Roof joined a small Bible-study group in the church, welcomed apparently as the only white participant, and suddenly opened fire on the victims as they sat together.

Sylvia Johnson, a cousin of Pinckney, told MSNBC that a survivor told her the gunman reloaded five times during the attack despite pleas for him to stop.

"He just said, 'I have to do it. You rape our women and you're taking over our country," Johnson said.

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said her office was investigating whether to charge Dylann Roof with a hate crime motivated by racial or other prejudice.

Under federal and some state laws, such crimes typically carry harsher penalties. But South Carolina, which has the death penalty, is one of just five U.S. states lacking hate crime laws.

Demonstrations have rocked New York, Baltimore, Ferguson in Missouri and other U.S. cities following police killings of unarmed black men including Eric Garner, Freddie Gray and Michael Brown.

A white police officer was charged with murder after he shot Walter Scott, an unarmed black man, in the back in April in neighboring North Charleston.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which researches U.S. hate groups, said the attack illustrates the dangers that home-grown extremists pose.

"Since 9/11, our country has been fixated on the threat of Jihadi terrorism. But the horrific tragedy at the Emanuel AME reminds us that the threat of homegrown domestic terrorism is very real," the group said in a statement, referring to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.

There have been 4,120 reported hate crimes across the United States, including 56 murders, since 2003, the center said.

Other victims included three church pastors: DePayne Middleton Doctor, 49, Sharonda Coleman Singleton, 45 and Reverend Daniel Simmons, 74; Cynthia Hurd, a 54-year-old employee of the Charleston County Public Library, and Susie Jackson, 87; Ethel Lance, 70, Tywanza Sanders, 26, and Myra Thompson 59, an associate pastor at the church, according to the county coroner

A series of police killings of unarmed black men has sparked a renewed civil rights movement under the "Black Lives Matter" banner.

Black Lives Matter....but I swear sometimes I think Black Lives only Matter to Black people...

My life certainly matters to me...And I will defend that life to the death...Think I'm playin..Come for me...You'll be afraid for your life alright...

I'm sick of this crap...Every damn week another case...It's almost like it's open season on Black people...

The problem is..When will good and decent white people be fed up with this crap?  I know there are good and decent white people in this nation and I know they have to see through this cloud of bullshit that is being propogated by the media..They have to see this...They can no longer be silent..They no longer have the luxury of their silence!

First they came for the Negroes and you did nothing because you weren't black...Then they came for the Latinos and you did nothing because you weren't Latino...and then they came for the Gays and you again did nothing because you weren't gay...Well one morning they'll come for you and then....
it'll be too late for you to do something!

Think about it! Please!

Just Call Me Black

Okay...Okay...I kid with this picture...But seriously...by now...Everybody has heard the story about the Spokane, Washington NAACP Leader who was outed by her parents who say she's actually a white woman who has been pretending to be African-American for years...

It was all over social media yesterday and everybody weighed in.....

The race of one of the most prominent faces in Spokane, Washington's black community is under question after her estranged mother claimed she is white but is "being dishonest and deceptive with her identity."

Rachel Dolezal, 37, is the head of the local chapter of the NAACP and has identified herself as at least partly African-American. But her Montana birth certificate says she was born to two parents who say they are Caucasian. The parents shared that document and old photos with CNN.
"We are her birth parents," Lawrence Dolezal told CNN on Friday. "We do not understand why she feels it's necessary to misrepresent her ethnicity."  I don't understand it either, but then, that's just me.

CNN tried to reach Rachel Dolezal for comment by emailing and calling her, but was unsuccessful. The Spokane Spokesman-Review. newspaper reported, though, that she has framed the controversy surrounding her racial identity in the context of litigation over guardianship of her adopted brother.

According to court documents obtained by CNN, Rachel Dolezal's adopted brother, who is black, sought emancipation from Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal in 2010. The adopted brother, now 21, said the Dolezals used "physical forms of punishment" and had sent his brother and sister away to group homes because they didn't cooperate with the couple's religion and rules.
The adopted brother wanted to live with Rachel Dolezal "in a multiracial household where black culture is celebrated and I have a connection to the black community," the court papers said. The papers by the way did not specify Rachel Dolezal's race.

The petition for emancipation was dropped. In a separate legal action in 2010, the court appointed Rachel Dolezal to be the adopted brother's guardian with the consent of Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal.

On Friday, the Dolezals told the media they didn't want to comment on a possible "legal dispute" their daughter or the NAACP had mentioned.

One organization that appears to be standing behind her is the NAACP. The group, historically one of the most prominent in supporting causes important to the African-American community, said Friday that Dolezal is "enduring a legal issue with her family" and that "we respect her privacy in this matter."
"One's racial identity is not a qualifying criteria or disqualifying standard for NAACP leadership," the group said. "The NAACP Alaska-Oregon-Washington State Conference stands behind Ms. Dolezal's advocacy record."

So...She's perped being Black....What I don't understand is why are Black people tripping??  This is of no advantage to her...And she is working in the NAACP...an organization that helps Black people...So what is the problem?

I can think of several African -Americans off hand....Clarence Thomas...Raven Symone...Ben Carson and Allan West ,who I'd gladly trade to the White people for a couple more Rachel Dolezals....In the bigger picture...She's probably done more for African -Americans than any of the fore named...I'm not mad at  Rachel, regardless if she's white or Black...

Denmark And Happiness

Look at that?  Twenty Dollar minimum wage, 33 hour work week, Free College Education, Free Childcare and Free Healthcare...And you ask SHOULD AMERICA follow the lead? Should they?

I think everybody should follow this lead...but this won't happen and you know why?Because...The leaders of the United States and other so called civilized nations don't really care about or want it's population happy....Sounds harsh and irresponsible doesn't it?

Think about it for a minute...

We have a congress and an entire political party that is dedicated to making sure that certain people of a certain race, a certain sex, a certain nationality and a certain economic class live miserable lives....

Am I being extremist?  Am I being irresponsible???  Who is it that votes against health care , a higher minimum wage and more funding for public school education consistantly?  I'll leave it at that...

We aren't even talking about a shorter work week...or childcare for working parents or making a college education more affordable....These people demonize the poor and middle class and they drag out racism and biases to keep these sectors fighting each other constantly and even convince some of these very poor that it is in their best interest not to have a higher minimum wage, not to have a shorter workweek, not to have better public schools..not to have better highways and railroads...and I could go on...How they pull that off is miraculous...but they do it...

The result..24/7 misery...Nowhere near close to Denmark and Happiness...

No...The powers that be in America are not the least bit interested in your happiness..or well being...They are only interested in keeping the one percent of this nation that has the highest wealth happy....Everybody else's well being be damned...

We are a long way from Denmark and Happiness.

Not This S%#& Again!

This is police officer Eric Casebolt, who neck slammed a 14 year old Black girl and held her on the ground with a knee on her back. He also drew his weapon on two unarmed Black teens.  I know...I know...He was afraid for his life right?

A Texas police officer has been placed on administrative leave ,which means he is sitting at a desk, still drawing a paycheck, after a video surfaced on social media of him pushing a teenage girl to the ground and pulling a gun on another teenager at a pool party.

A seven-minute YouTube video shows a police officer using profanity and aggressively throwing a 15-year-old girl in a bathing suit to the ground, face-down. He then appeared to pin her down with his knees.
The girl can be heard screaming, "I want to call my mom. He hit me."

McKinney police spokeswoman Sabrina Boston said the incident involved "multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave."

She said additional units were dispatched after the first officers to arrive "encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands."

Brooks specified that the chaos began with a fight between a white woman and a 19-year-old black woman.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday afternoon, police Chief Greg Conley asked citizens to be patient and to respect the investigative process.

"A (teenage) female was temporarily detained by one of the officers," police Chief Greg Conley told reporters on Sunday afternoon. "She was ultimately released to her parents."

The girl's family told WFAA-TV that the girl is 15 years old.

A dozen police officers eventually responded to the disturbance.

"Several concerns about the conduct of one of the officers at the scene have been raised," Conley said. "The McKinney Police Department is committed to treating all persons fairly under the law. We are committed to preserving the peace and safety of our community for all our citizens."
Conley did not name the suspended officer. But I will..His name is Officer Eric Casebolt.

Brandon Brooks, who posted the unedited video clip titled Cops Crash Pool Party on Saturday, wrote that "this kind of force is uncalled for, especially on children and innocent bystanders."
In an e-mail to USA TODAY College, Brooks said he felt "invisible" to the cops and that he recorded the incident to demand department accountability: "I knew that what the cops were doing was wrong and that the video could hopefully provide some evidence to someone."

The story you won't hear...The other side...was that this was a graduation party and that the black students had been invited there by a black tenent who lived in the development....The party was mixed...It wasn't just black kids...It was Black and White and Mexican kids....

Most of the kids...DID IN FACT COMPLY, when told to stand down....The Black teenager who got into a fight with the white woman was slapped by the woman ,who then allegedly said-''Why don't you all go back to where you come from." Did she mean Africa or from a few blocks away?  Maybe she meant both...But the media has blocked that part of the story completely out....

This isn't new...This isn't the first time these things have been happening...It's just that we didn't live in a social media world before where so much can be filmed and put out into the world so quickly...

I'm certain there is a lot more to the story than what is even being reported here...I'm just tired...I'm tired of having to write these stories so much....

I'm sick of racism...I'm sick of the lies...I'm sick ,sick, sick of it all!   When does it all end?

Where Have All The Bloggers Gone

I have asked the question...Where Have all of the bloggers gone?   I have a list of my favorite bloggers, which can be found on the side of this blog and my other blog, Escapades and Good Foodie...The other day I went down the lists of blogs...unfortunately, only four of the blogs are still up and operating...out of maybe 20 some blogs...

I was saddened at how many of my favorite bloggers haven't written anything in years..and how many of the ones still somewhat active ,haven't posted in months...It's just not the same...

Circa 2008....Although I launched this blog in December 2007...I didn't really start writing good until 2008...When I launched my second blog, Escapades..By then I had been introduced to a number of young black bloggers who were just like me..

Excited...Those were heady times...Barack Obama rode into the White House and signaled a new era....We were politicized and full of piss and vinegar and had a lot to say...Politically and personally....I loved reading and commenting on these blogs as much as I loved writing my own...

We all commented and supported each other and helped each other grow and mature as writers and as bloggers...I'm willing to say that I did some of my best writing between 2008 and 2011....

Then came Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and Tumbler....By 2012...Practically my entire Blogger family was on Facebook,Twitter and some form of social media..
Because it's so much easier to make a statement on these mediums and because it doesn't require the thought and effort that go into writing a good post...It was inevitable that a lot of the blogs died..

My wife said that this was the difference between those who are really writers and into good writing and those who had just jumped on the bandwagon of the latest fad..

My crazy ass went and launched a third blog...."Good Foodie" -A food blog in 2010...
Must have been out of my mind... As a result..I have three blogs up and running at the time of this writing...

I have pondered shutting down this blog and Good Foodie a lot ...but I can't bring myself to do it...This is my baby...My first blog..the blog that got me into this world in the first place...

Let's be honest...Life does get in the way of blogging...Being married, working a demanding job, raising kids, grandkids in my case and all the other things that fill up a day and a life can sometimes push blogging to the background... Some of my blogger fam have shut their blogs down when their life has come to a certain crossroads...Others just stopped writing....I've gone on their blogposts and found that their site has been taken over by seedy advertisements or by somebody completely foreign to me and unknown....It's been depressing...

I wrote a post last week that got me to thinking about how I tried to tailor this blog to fit modern trends like Tumbler...I began posting more memes and music posts on this blog to adhere to the short attention span generation that might not want to read the wordy posts I used to write....

Of course when I have to say something, when I need to educate the masses,I don't shy completely away from that...Still, I've added humor and short posts labeled as micro-blogging..that have modernized this blog somewhat....

Today...As of this writing...I feel like a dinosaur...The last of the original idealistic blogger family.....I have three blogs continuously running... this one, Keith's Space, Escapades, my poetry, fiction, art, erotica and music blog... (and my favorite to write of the three..it gets the most responses and readership...And for my money the most unique and innovative blog in the game...) and Good Foodie...my food blog..Most of my friends are on Twitter and Facebook...They don't blog much if at all... A few talk about coming back into the game....

I'll be here...waiting, still plugging away....

Don't know anything about the artist-"The Weekend", but his song has been running through my mind ever since I first heard it...I find myself humming it in the bathtub...But don't the best songs make you do that anyway?

A mortician was working late one night. It was his job to examine the dead bodies before they were sent off to be buried or cremated.

As he examined the body of Mr.Davis, who was about to be cremated, he made an amazing discovery. Mr. Schwartz had the penis he had ever seen!

"MY GOD!!!I'm sorry Mr. Davis" said the mortician, "....but I can't send you off to be cremated with a tremendously huge penis like this. It has to be saved for posterity."

With that, the mortician used his tools to remove the dead man's penis. He stuffed his prize into a briefcase and took it home.

The first person he showed it to was his wife. "I have something to show you that you won't believe," he said, and opened up his briefcase.

"Oh my God!" she screamed. " Big Henry Davis is dead!!!!!!!"

Well Just Slap Me And Call Me Caitlyn

Actually...I hate to say this...but Bruce Jenner, the former Bruce Jenner I should say...actually looks better as a woman than he did in his last years as a confused man...

Now a lot of my female friends on Facebook and Twitter and a number of celebrities are applauding his decision to become a woman...I guess as a man,I view it a little different...I  have always seen myself as liberal, progressive and open minded...but this here...this here is a bit much for me...

I keep asking myself  why at 65 do you decide that you should go from being  a man and becoming a woman...??? After you've fathered children???

Well Bruce, I mean Caitlyn knows the answer to that...Her?His decision won't affect or impact my life one way or the other so you won't see me pontificating on this any longer...

Truth is...I don't care about this one way or another...but it is what's hot right now on social media, and so in trying to keep this blog as current as I can (Even though Blogging is dying a slow death) I had to speak on it...

Whatever your opinion on what He/She did with his/her life....It won't affect or impact YOUR life in any way....

You're entitled to your opinion... Carry on!

What I've Learned

1.Marry your friend and you are more than likely to stay married!

2. Marriage is not for sissies...

3.You can never con an honest man.

4. A lot of people want something for nothing..

5.At some point I got tired of following my dreams...I asked them where they were going.

6.I've always heard...Find a job you love and you'll never work again...Haven't found that job..It's always work.

7.I Don't Give Advice....When I did, No one ever took it!

8.With a lot of the important people who I respected  now deceased....I don't want any advice either.

9.I need a new thrill...

10.And yet,I'm coming to the age where nothing surprises me or fills me with wonder anymore..Yet,there must be something out there...One more thing I haven't experienced.
