So much so that I can no longer conjur up words to articulate my beliefs and feelings. For anyone who believes that racism is no longer an issue, think again. For anyone who thinks this is only a problem for "them," think again. It's time for a revolution, folks!Felicia Moniquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09818959964833434203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623792489158195598.post-25775872775142773322010-05-17T13:25:16.850-04:002010-05-17T13:25:16.850-04:00And they use the textbook, too! You may have seen...And they use the textbook, too! You may have seen reports about the new social studies curriculum in Texas. They wanted to exclude Thurgood Marshall from the curriculum because he had not made a "significant contribution" to American society. They've taken Malcolm X out completely and have trimmed Martin L. King's legacy to one speech. They want history to reflect the "gifts" of integretion and voting rights, not the struggle to demand and claim those rights. They want to look like they gave these out of the kindness of their hearts. We know better and history should not be changed to reflect a lie. <br />The dim bulbs attract like Sarah Palin. They're probably as well read as she.Arlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00949900173613954936noreply@blogger.com
