Nothing compare...othing compares to losing a child. Nothing compares to hearing the last words of someone taking their last breath. Nothing compares to the anger of seeing criminals walk freely, unaccountable for their actions. So what's the next step??? How to heal? How to forgive? How to continue fighting a system that works against you? How???

Well, it begins with Healing! Healing begins with Support and Compassion. Healing continues thru understanding, prayer, enlightenment and forgiveness.... Life is not always Fair nor Kind, but it is filled with many possibilities and solutions! Moving forward.. perpetuating the division & negativity gets us nowhere but further away from the goal at hand! Share thoughts of solutions for the frustration and disappointment that many of us feel. Stand for what's Right and do the work to change the system.. That is the very definition of inequality and injustice in MY country that I love, but persist in making me feel like 3/5 of a Man. If we want to ...Lets cut to the chase this morning. If we want to see change, then the group you need to squarely target in boycotting is the NRA.

The NRA is the one that controls the Florida Government. Their the ones that also control much of Congress. They have alot of wealth and influence. Their giants. Who would dare take them on and win? No one.

But could we take on their many business sponsors that DONT have the same money and influence as the NRA?

How stressful would it be for that little ole NRA card carrying business to have to deal with protests outside their door everyday?
Now imagine this at every business that sponsors the NRA.

Now when the NRA starts getting pressure from their backers, who do you think they will pressure on issues such as "stand your ground?"

I could be wrong. But it sure beats doing nothing.Lmani S. It is not the verdict for which I had hoped for, but frankly I am not surprised given the performance of the Prosecution during the trial and the standard of the law.

Moving forward, I truly believe citizens should petition for an amendment to the "Stand Your Ground" laws on so many books in many states.

"Stand Your Ground" should be amended to state if, "one is the instigator/pursuer/aggressor in an action that results in personal injury or death, one cannot plead 'self-defense' in a court of law."Wilma De Sotonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623792489158195598.post-54432900137079246902013-07-15T08:17:29.548-04:002013-07-15T08:17:29.548-04:00Amen Brother...Amen Brother...Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17325582825431855883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623792489158195598.post-71709352360692489232013-07-15T08:17:17.376-04:002013-07-15T08:17:17.376-04:00But for me it comes down to Zimmerman instigated a...But for me it comes down to Zimmerman instigated a confrontation, killed an unarmed teenager, got acquitted under the guise of self-defense. He's alive, Martin is not. He gets to do things with his family and friends that Trayvon can no longer do. He's getting money from people that support what he did. And adding insult to injury, Zimmerman still has a right to carry a gun. He may be able to get back the gun he used to Martin. Zimmerman the "wannabe cop" has his ultimate fantasy- he got to shoot his gun, kill a person that he knew too many in our society and nation view as a inconsequential, disposable life (i.e. a young black male), and gets to go on with life as if nothing happened. Oh, and Black People, Trayvon's blood is on our hands, too. The murder case and verdict is a DIRECT outcome of the disgraceful number of homicides in our community, that we observe and say "Oh Well..." like it's normal. When we don't value the lives of young, black men... why are we shocked when George Zimmerman and the "justice system" does not? Look at Chicago on Independence Day this year. What was it, 36 shootings, 16 deaths. Our homicide-mad chickens are coming home to roost. We did as much harm to Trayvon as George Zimmerman...Larry J. Griffennoreply@blogger.com
