What a great night!! What an acheivement, I never thought I would live to see this....I'm 47 years old...this is a great moment for me and for all Americans!
I called my grandmother last night at 10:00 to tell her that I remember her taking me with her when she voted back in 1984 and how much that stayed with me. She remembered it as well and we laughed about my 100 questions i had back then. Anyway, what a glorious occasion. I loved his speech, I loved seeing those two beautiful little girls, I loved seeing his beautiful wife (I also noticed her whispering something in his ear...I see ya' Michelle...ooops, First Lady, Michelle)...it was GREAT!!! I will forever remember this day.
Just wanted to say thanks for using your blog the last couple of days to enlighten us even more. I'm convinced that someone skeptical of the system decided to go out and vote because of the wisdom you shared. You helped bring the State of PA. Victoriously and appreciatively yours from THE BLUE STATE OF VIRGINIA, SLC
We did it! Obama did it. Not only did he do it, he rocked it so hard that there was no way his win could be challenged or questioned. That's what's up!
I've been crying, laughing, and smiling all day long. God definitely had a hand in this one. It was written a long time ago and nothing was going to stop it. Looks like having the audacity of hope can work out in the end, no matter how many sticks and stones are thrown your way.
One for the history books, my Brotha. Pride is at an all-time high & so is my spirit today. More than everything this teaches the kids, keeeids, the children, the lil duns, the youth that nothing in this world is impossible for a person of color to achieve. This is a HUGE day. Somewhere I just KNOW our ancestors are smiling!
If something I wrote caused one person that wasn't going to vote to change their mind and go vote..then that made everything worth while..Just for a moment like this.
