Weekend Humor

A woman is on one of those funeral cruises where the ashes of loved ones may be dumped into the sea. She had been married to a real cheapskate, who after 30 years of marriage finally died. The lady had her husband cremated, at his wishes, because he felt a plot would cost too much.

After the memorial services, she went to the railing and poured his ashes out into her hands and started talking to him. "Henry," she said, "You know that mink cape I wanted all my life? Well your company sold for so much that now I have bought myself a beautiful full length mink coat." "

"And Henry," she said, "You know that trip to the Caribbean I always wanted to take? Well, I took a world cruise for 90 days and it was wonderful!"

"And Henry," she continued, "You know that big blue Cadillac I had been hoping for the last 5 years? Well I bought a Rolls Royce instead and it drives like a dream." "

"Oh, and Henry," she said, "You know that blow job you always wanted?" and she blew the ashes out of her hands into the sea . . .

HAVE A FUNKDACIOUSLY GOOD WEEKEND!

Trump Has Stepped Into It Now (Or Has He?)

I often wonder if Donald trump can ever do or say anything so over the top that it will turn everybody against him....I had come to the position that he was teflon Donald and could do no wrong...I mean he has insulted Hispanics and Latinos, Muslims, Handicapped people , African-Americans...and women...and there have been protests and waves of outrage....but within days...It has subsided and the media and damn near everyone else has given him a pass...

Yes..I know he is the presumptive Republican Candidate...but even they don't want to endorse him...But they have no choice...who else do they have?

Now he has said something so racist and so over the top that even they want to distance themselves from him...

And yet...They are still going to support him come November!

The Republican primaries end Tonight as I'm writing this with an embattled Donald Trump under pressure to tone down his rhetoric, including House Speaker Paul Ryan's statement that the businessman's attacks on a federal judge amount to "textbook racism."

Trump's claims that a federal judge is biased because of "Mexican heritage" have been likened to Joe McCarthy-like Communist witch hunts, and have prompted pressure on Republican leaders to pull their support of the New York businessman.

"Claiming a person can't do their job because of their race is sort of like the textbook definition of a racist comment," Ryan told reporters Tuesday. "If you say something that's wrong I think the mature and responsible thing is to acknowledge it."

Federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. I too  am also a member of this same fraternity. Judge Curiel became a member of the fraternity’s Alpha Chapter in March 27, 1974. He is also a charter member of the Bloomington (IN) Alumni Chapter. Judge Curiel is currently the target of a series of racially motivated personal attacks, coming from Donald Trump.

Still, the Wisconsin Republican said Trump is a better bet than Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and "I think if we go into the fall as a divided party we are doomed to lose."

Newsflash Paul...You are going to Lose!

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., speaking on MSNBC's Morning Joe, said of Trump: "He still has time to pivot — Time is running short, but he has time to do that."
HAS HE EVER DONE THAT??

Trump has maintained his attacks on the federal judge hearing a fraud lawsuit against the now-shuttered Trump University, saying his "Mexican heritage" makes him biased against a candidate who has criticized illegal immigration from Mexico.

"It's a civil lawsuit that should have been dismissed a long time ago but the judge is treating me very unfairly," Trump said Monday on Fox News.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel is a former federal prosecutor who was born in Indiana. His parents were born in Mexico.

The Manhattan real estate mogul who wrapped up the Republican presidential nomination in early May is scheduled to speak tonight(as I am writing this) as he claims wins in the final five GOP delegate contests: California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota.

Trump, who also called for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States, has also questioned whether Muslim judges could be fair.

Critics, including some Republicans, said Trump's emphasis on the judge's ethnicity amounts to racism.
While many GOP lawmakers have endorsed Trump — if only as the sole alternative to Clinton — they have become increasingly uncomfortable in recent days.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., calling Trump's judicial attacks "the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy," told The New York Times: “If anybody was looking for an off-ramp, this is probably it ... There’ll come a time when the love of country will trump hatred of Hillary.”
Graham told MSNBC he will not vote for either Trump or Clinton in the general election, and said he is looking for a write-in candidate....

The sound of laughter you hear in the background is me laughing...

Joseph McCarthy, a U.S. senator from Wisconsin from 1947 to 1957, led a series of congressional hearings investigating suspected Communists in the federal government. He was censured by the Senate in 1954 and died of hepatitis exacerbated by alcoholism in 1957.

Former U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough, R-Fla., now the host of MSNBC's Morning Joe, said on the program Tuesday that Republicans need to reconsider their support of Trump, or risk losing control of the House and Senate in the fall elections.

"Republicans, call him out, back away from those endorsements," Scarborough said. "Make him back down on the Muslim ban. Make him back down on this racist comment that he's made about a man born in Indiana saying he's incapable of being a fair judge."

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a potential running mate for Trump, told reporters that businessman is not a racist. Christie said that Ryan is "entitled to his opinion," but criticized Graham as a sore loser to Trump in the GOP presidential race.

Trump, meanwhile, says his campaign will prevail in the long run.
"I want to focus on the economy, I want to focus on the military," Trump said on Fox News. "I want to focus on things that we need to focus on. Not a civil lawsuit that I'm going to end up winning anyway."

He may have really stepped in it now! Let's see if this sticks to his shoes!

The Greatest Has Left The Building

Muhammad Ali is gone...As Mike Tyson said..."God has come for his champion.." I got the tragic news early this morning that the Greatest Of All Time had died of respiratory failure, due to complications from the Parkinson's Disease he had battled for thirty some years...

“I know where I’m going and I know the truth, and I don’t have to be what you want me to be, I’m free to be what I want." That's my favorite Ali quote....

If Muhammad Ali taught me anything , it was to  always be true to yourself and don't compromise who you are...Because even though people may hate you today...People and public opinion are fickle...Chances are...They'll love you tomorrow.... Rest Well Champ...You were always my champion....(1942-2016)
