What The Hell?

This is going to be the first of a new recurring post on this blog and I'll dedicate this to people in the news who's behavior just makes you scratch your head and go, "What the hell?"

For those of you who are not sports fans, this is baseball player, Sammy Sosa... before and after. To paraphrase Jay Leno... "What were you thinking, man?" Did you learn nothing from Michael Jackson?

I don't understand what would drive him to do this????? Really???? HOT MESS!!!!! I need people to be comfortable in their own skin and love who they are.......this disaster is what happens when you try to be something you're not and take it to the extreme

I saw that photo a week or so ago and meant to go back to it. I was thinking, "here comes the vitaligo speech."

Keith, I really don't understand this. Perhaps Sammy thinks that lighter skin has some benefit. If he were a younger man then perhaps that might be true. I thought that as we get older we realize that skin color is an artificial measurement. Maybe in Sammy's "world" color is important. I don't want to live there!!

Lifelong Cubs fan here, and even I cannot take up for Sammy's act of insanity. Makes me wonder of the world he lives.

KEEPING THE FAITH: RANDOM PRAYERS "ON THE DOWNLOAD"

DEAR GOD: I feel so uncertain, so unsure. I want to trust that you are present, that you are acting on my behalf, and that you hear and will answer my prayers. Yet, my confidence is spent, my faith flat. You speak in my heart and tell me to seek your face, and I am longing for the sureness of your presence, the touch of your breath, the warmth of your love. In my doubt, O God, let your Spirit hover over me with the gentleness of angel’s wings, until I am opened to faith and once again recognize the pattern of your face. I ask this for the sake of your love. Amen.
