Saturday Seven (7 Things I Should Be Doing More Of)

1. Getting deeper into the "Word".

2. Giving my wife more attention.

3. Improving my cooking skills (actually, learning some new recipes).

4. Reading for pleasure (I've got two-and-a-half novels to finish that have been laying around since May).

5. Considering writing my long-awaited novel.

6. Getting out and meeting new people.

7. Relaxing more.

Great list Keith, I could be doing some of these things myself. I know I've been slacking off when it has come to reading 'The Word' lately. Maybe a goal for the coming week, get back into reading 'The Word' more.

Getting out and meeting some new people wouldn't hurt either.

KEEPING THE FAITH: RANDOM PRAYERS "ON THE DOWNLOAD"

DEAR GOD: I feel so uncertain, so unsure. I want to trust that you are present, that you are acting on my behalf, and that you hear and will answer my prayers. Yet, my confidence is spent, my faith flat. You speak in my heart and tell me to seek your face, and I am longing for the sureness of your presence, the touch of your breath, the warmth of your love. In my doubt, O God, let your Spirit hover over me with the gentleness of angel’s wings, until I am opened to faith and once again recognize the pattern of your face. I ask this for the sake of your love. Amen.
