And Happy Birthday to you too, keith.

You know I had to stop by on this one. To some degree, a granson is a new start, hence, happy birthday.

You've shared much of your life with your granson and your daughter, so thank you for doing so. It seems like yesterday that you were telling us they were moving out of your house, how has that been for you?

In about 3 weeks my grandson (about the same age) is coming (by his self) to visit me. He's a southern boy so I can't wait to take him sled riding. My daughter is just as excited because she remembers the days that her and I tumbled down many hills. One such day I broke my wrist because her mother and she refused to roll off my back on the way to hitting a park car. A screaming wife and a small laughing child was no match for an Electra 225.

Again, happy birthday and take plenty of pictures.

KEEPING THE FAITH: RANDOM PRAYERS "ON THE DOWNLOAD"

DEAR GOD: You know the emptiness of my heart. Sometimes I wonder if you are there, if you hear, and if there is any hope that my situation will be different. When loneliness looms around me, when my questions are unanswered, when no one seems to care, when days and nights go on and on with no change, when I fall deeper into despair, I pray that you will let your peace fall upon me as gently as the spring rain that waters the earth. Remind me of your unconditional and eternal love for me. Assure me of your presence. Fill my heart with the hope that my life is held in your hand. Lift my pain so that joy may flow freely again through me. I ask this for the sake of your love. Amen.
