Weekend Humor

A woman got married, but her husband was abusive. She got remarried and that husband ran out on her. She got married again and that husband failed in bed.

Finally, she put an ad in the paper: "Looking for a man who won't abuse me, won't leave me, and won't fail me in bed."

The next day, the doorbell rings. There is a man with no arms and no legs. "Hello, I saw your ad in the paper," he says. "Tell me a little about you."  says the woman.

"Well, I have no arms, so I can't hit you. I have no legs, so I can't run out on you," he replies.

"How do I know you're good in bed?" she asks.

He smiles salaciously and says, "I rang the doorbell, didn't I?"

Everybody have a super groovy weekend!~

Paved With Good Intentions

They say that the road to hell is paved with good intentions...For a Black mother who was trying to teach her sons a good lesson....So was the road to jail and foster care...This story is unbelievable..and proof that racial tensions and animosity is higher now than it's been since the civil rights era...

This man..Barack Obama's presidency has seemingly lit a match under white racists that is heating up everyday...They are boldly letting out their racism and letting their freak flag just fly everyday with more and more veracity...

Last April when 29-year-old mom Tyeesha Mobley caught her youngest son stealing a ten dollar bill from her purse, she decided to teach him an important life lesson and hopefully keep him from seeing the inside of a jail cell in the future by calling the police. Little did she know that that phone call would result not only in her being arrested and allegedly beaten by the police, but her children being abused in foster care. What went so terribly wrong?

According to Tyeesha Mobley, once she made the 911 call, four police officers responded and she met them at a nearby gas station with her children.

"Three of them was joking around with my son," Mobley told The Huffington Post. One of the officers told her four-year-old son, Keyshawn, that he would "end up in the police car if he kept stealing."

The fourth officer, however, seemed to be irate about the situation.

According to the young mother's lawsuit against the New York City Police Department, the unidentified officer complained, "This is not our job. You black b--ches don't know how to take care of your kids.
"You need to call the kids' father, not us," he added. "We can't raise your kids. Why are you wasting our time? We aren't here to raise your kid. Why don't you take your f--king kid and leave?!"

Would this guy have said that to a white woman under any circumstance?? I think not.

Tyeesha Mobley attempted to do just that, leading Tyleke, 9, and Keyshawn back to their apartment.
But this guy wasn't finished.

"Oh, where do you think you're going?" Tyeesha says the officer yelled before grabbing her arm and handcuffing her wrists. Mobley asked why she was be being arrested, to which the officer allegedly responded, "If you're going to say another f--king word I'm going to knock your teeth down your throat."

These are the types of stories that most White Americans never hear and when they do hear them they don't believe them and this type of thing continues to happen over and over again to Black and Latino people.
The reasons why they don't tend to believe these stories is because this type of thing will never happen to them. It is unfathomable....It is not part of their reality...But it happens in the ghetto and the barrio often enough that I am not surprised when I do hear it.

I'm not anti-cop...Not in the least bit..I know that a cops job is difficult...Everyday they put their lives on the line for a mostly unappreciative public...They're damned if they do,damned if they don't.  I believe that the great majority of policemen are good guys who really do protect and serve....

Unfortunately...there are always your bad apples...your assholes who make all of the good cops, the truly good cops...look bad..

The story continues...

The two boys watched their mom arrested; being thrown against the police car with her legs were kicked.
At that time a female officer drove to the scene, rolled down her window and cried out to Mobley's aggressor, "We are not supposed to act like this."

His response: "Black b--ches like that. This is how I treat them."

Later, Mobley was transported from the jail to the hospital to treat the bruises on her legs.
Due to the pending lawsuit, the NYPD will not comment on the arrest, but Mobley's lawyer, Philip Sporn, told The Huffington Post that she was charged with child endangerment. That charge was ultimately dismissed months later, but far too late for Tyeesha and her boys who were taken into custody by The Administration for Child Services and turned over to a foster parent.

The lawsuit alleges that  during one of her supervised visits with her children, Mobley witnessed the foster mother "forcibly and violently strike, shove, and push Keyshawn through a doorway when it seemed that no one was watching."

The suit also places blame on the foster mother, who spoke only Spanish, for an injury that Keyshawn suffered while in her care. Allegedly, his right hand was "horribly burned" and the wound was never treated at a hospital.

At first this had all the makings of one of those "See, not all cops are bad" stories that were being pushed in the wake of Ferguson. But what were those three other officers doing while Mobley was being arrested and assaulted?

Now I ask you again...Would any of this have happened if Tyeesha Mobley weren't black? She doesn't seem to think so. I don't either.

"I didn't commit any crime. I believe that the officer didn't like black people."
"I just didn't want my kids getting incarcerated," Mobley said, explaining why she placed the 911 call that April day. "The one person who I thought would help me turned their backs on me." But maybe there were a few others who turned their backs on Tyeesha and her sons long before those officers did.

As painstakingly hard as it is to agree with someone who seems to be filled with so much hate, where were the other people in Tyeesha's life who probably could've helped to get through to her son, without getting the police involved? Because if anything, as good as her intentions may have been, she appears to have been blind to the plight of black men and their relationship with police over the years.

Maybe she was being optimistic, but unfortunately, her story has only built more distrust in a struggle that doesn't seem to be improving anytime soon. Especially when many people's first reaction to her story was to question why she trusted the police to handle the situation at all.

I wonder what message this sent to her sons?  You think they're going to forget this?

Perhaps the 911 call wasn't necessary. Maybe it was both the wrong place and the wrong time (and maybe a little much for a ten dollar bill out of her own purse). But were the four police officers called to the scene necessary?

What was is that Tyeesha Mobley said to the 911 operator to get that kind of response?

And what the hell were the other three officers doing as Tyeesha was being arrested?

Will the fourth officer even be punished for his bad behavior? And how did she manage to get charged with child endangerment when she was clearly just trying to do her best as mother to mold her son into a responsible young man?

Questions that will never be answered....

Tyeesha and her sons were reunited last summer. The boys are in school and Ms.Mobley says the entire family is also in therapy after having suffered the trauma from the arrest and the four months that they were forced to spend apart.

To say that Tyeesha Mobley's view of the police is damaged after her ordeal would be a vast understatement.

The 29-year-old says that these days, she walks in the other direction when she sees an officer on the street; viewing them as "someone out to harm me."

Her hope is that the lawsuit that she filed in the Bronx Supreme Court will at least let the city know how her family was "destroyed." One could also hope that much more is taken away from this case...for all sides.

The road to hell is indeed paved with good intentions.

So I'll Ask Again (Double Standard???)

Double Standard??? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Monday, March 23, 2015

Double Standard??? What?? Nahhh!

The above photo shows that what I'm about to write is true....There is a troll who hasn't commented in awhile, but has the audacity to call me an "anti-white, grumpy old Black man" whenever I have written something on this blog that he hasn't agreed with...So if he's reading...I'm going to give him the chance to call me that again..

Say what you will or may, but there is definitely a difference in the way young African-Americans are reported in the news and young white Americans, doing the same thing are reported...Just check this out-

Last week a violent St. Patrick’s day brawl among white adult men in the middle of Manhattan -- which was caught on video -- has resulted in no arrests, and only one news report of the incident.

That’s compared to the reams of articles and the five arrests resulting from a video last week of a fight among a group of black teenage girls in a Brooklyn McDonald’s.

Anthony Rooar Decarlis , who is Black ,said he thinks videos of fights are “trash,” but the 31-year-old artist still felt compelled to pull out his phone Tuesday and record the drunken brawl, which occurred on 46th Street outside O’Brien’s Pub.

“I was out with a buddy of mine, just drinking and having a good time,” he told The Huffington Post. “All of a sudden this fight just erupted. I started recording. There were three different fights. One guy got hit with a bottle, one guy fell to the ground and got kicked in the face.”

One man in the brawl appeared to be knocked unconscious, with his eye “swollen up to the size of a grapefruit,” Decarlis said, adding that “people were trying to see if he had a pulse.”
Decarlis said he decided not to intervene in the fight.

“I'm not gonna put my safety in jeopardy for a bunch of intoxicated frat boys,” he said.Wise move...The police would have wound up shooting you and blaming you for the entire thing.
I'm joking, but that's not too far from the truth!

The video ended, Decarlis added, when he decided to call 911. He said other onlookers also called the cops too, and he then left the scene. The NYPD, however, told The Huffington Post Wednesday that there were was “no complaint report on file for this incident,” meaning there were no arrests.

As of this writing, Decarlis’ video has had over 200,000 views on Facebook, yet it appears only one news outlet, PIX 11, has reported on the incident.
An estimated 2 million revelers flooded Manhattan bars Tuesday in celebration of St. Patrick's Day, many spilling out onto the street and drinking alcohol on the sidewalk, which in New York is effectively only a crime in black and Latino neighborhoods.

Anthony Decarlis, said he doesn’t understand why the fight isn't a bigger story, especially after the outrage last week over the video of black teenagers fighting in a Brookyln McDonald’s.

“I feel like the media is trying to show African-Americans in such a negative light,” he said, adding that “there should be public outrage” over the St. Patrick’s day fight as well.

Of course they won't be...This was just a few over zealous partygoers who kinda sorta got out of hand.

A horrifying video last week emerged showing the group of six teenage girls violently attacking 15-year-old Ariana Taylor in a McDonald's in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The incident garnered widespread media coverage, not only in New York but across the nation.

Police say they've arrested five of the six attackers.

Rev. Al Sharpton and members of the community have planned a peace vigil for the victim of the attack, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Mayor Bill de Blasio called the video "deeply disturbing" and said the attackers must have "mental health" issues the city needs to address. He added that onlookers should've stepped in and broken up the fight.

“You don’t have someone be hurt in front of you and do nothing about it,” he said, according to The New York Daily News. “It is not acceptable.”

Community organizer Tony Herbert told ABC7 he's launched a new anti-violence task force called "One Family, One Community." He blames the girls' actions on popular culture.

"Young people don't have positive images in front of them," Herbert said. "They get these dumb reality TV shows, the violent video games and the music."

And Rudy Giuliani, of course, blamed President Barack Obama for the fight, arguing the president's allegedly anti-police rhetoric is encouraging violence.Rudy G. needs to take several seats..He's really letting his racist freak flag fly here of late. I think he blamed President Obama for the Ice Age too!

In short, whereas the McDonald's fight made waves, the St. Patrick's Day brawl hasn't, and likely never will.
"Why was the McDonald's fight really a national news story?" Padilla, the journalist, told The Huffington Post. "Plenty of white-on-white violence on St. Patrick's Day that was somehow not news."

"What if the media were to spend the day after St. Patrick's Day talking about white-on-white violence?" he continued. "Shaming the parents of drunken revelers, asking what is it that makes the white community so violent?"

Padilla pointed to the differences in the way people talked about protests and riots in Ferguson, Missouri, after Michael Brown's death to the way people talk about largely white riots that have occurred on college campuses across the country.

Whereas there was outrage over the "thugs" and "savages" in Ferguson, the largely white Pumpkinfest riots in New Hampshire last fall were mostly dismissed as the drunken revelry of college kids.

Double Standard??? WHAT???  In Amerika??? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Will You Have Race Relations With Your Coffee?

I must admit...even though there is a huge Starbucks on the campus of the University I work at...I choose to buy my coffee from the Dunkin Donuts down the street from it that is the size of a shoebox...Reason?  I like their coffee better...That's all..

I have to commend the leadership of Starbucks though....For wanting their employees to discuss "race relations" with their customers while they serve them coffee..It's cute and real politically correct...but uh..Early in the morning when I've just woken up and am getting that first cup of coffee..I don't want to talk about race relations..and I'm a Black man...So I could understand...I could perfectly understand if a white person wouldn't want to discuss race either...I don't too much want to discuss anything..I just want my coffee.

And here is the thing about race relations in a nut shell..We...People all have more in common than not and if we could rally around what we have in common as opposed to the things that divide us...We could finally start to get past this thing called race that has divided us for so long.

But...

We won't....

Not tomorrow....Not the day after and talking about it over coffee in the morning is not going to begin us on that journey....

We are still uncomfortable when we talk about race as evidenced in the story I'm about to tell-

If you were watching...
Things got a little awkward on MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes" Tuesday night.Sorry Fox Viewers,

During a segment on Starbucks' new and controversial "Race Together" campaign, which seeks to have employees start open conversations about race with customers, guests Jay Smooth and "CBS Sunday Morning" contributor Nancy Giles illustrated for viewers just how uncomfortable such interactions can be.
Smooth -- who in addition to hosting a long-running hip-hop show on New York's WBAI radio station also video blogs about issues of race and culture for Fusion -- took the position that a campaign like "Race Together" fails to get at the true, systemic problems of white supremacy in America.

The conversation was largely substantive, but after host Chris Hayes rolled footage of Smooth's YouTube video “How to Tell Someone They Sound Racist," things started to go off the rails.

But of course....This being America and all..

"I can't not tease Jay about the kinda, like, brotha way he was trying to talk," Giles said. "Like, 'Hey,' with the rap music in the background, and, like, down with the people."

"I'm a rap guy!" Smooth responded, most likely seeing the train wreck coming from a mile away. But Giles continued to persist anyways.

"Yeah, I know, but it's another interesting, funny thing about race," she said. "Like, there would be some people that feel that you co-opted something like that, and other people might feel like that's his background and that's really cool, too."

Giles continued to joke with Smooth about the way he spoke in the video, until finally things came to an inevitable and cringeworthy halt.

"It's also interesting because I'm actually black, but you assumed otherwise," Smooth said. "And this is the sort of awkwardness that we can look forward to at Starbucks across America."Yupper!

The exchange was good-natured throughout -- with Hayes laughing and clapping on the sidelines -- but painful to watch nonetheless.

It's going to be painful period for employees of Starbucks to be put on the spot like that...Tomorrow I'm going to get my coffee from Starbucks just to see how this goes...Stay tuned..

That Scary Mr. Durst

I have weird tastes...I admit it..I am a fan of true crime stories....So when HBO aired their six part mini-series about Robert Durst, the scion of the New York Real Estate empire who is just a little weird...I jumped at it...

Durst , a suspect in the 1982 disapearence of his wife, the 2000 dis-memberment of a man in Texas (He was somehow acquitted of first degree murder charges in that one) and the shooting death of a woman in Los Angelas thought to know a little too much about what may have happened to his first wife....turned out to be an articulate and fascinating study...

Maybe he was too articulate and fascinating...

Last night, HBO aired the final installment of "The Jinx" the lives and deaths of Robert Durst...and in New Orleans, another drama was ironically unfolding.

He was arrested in New Orleans and faces extradition to Los Angelas...They were watching the HBO mini series too!

Los Angeles prosecutors have filed a murder charge against real estate heir Robert Durst that could carry the death penalty.

Prosecutors said Robert Durst was charged yesterday with first-degree murder in the killing of his friend, Susan Berman.

Robert Durst was arrested in New Orleans over the weekend on a murder warrant and waived extradition to return to Los Angeles to face the charges.

Susan Berman had acted as Robert Durst's spokeswoman after his wife disappeared in 1982.

She was shot in the back of the head in her Los Angeles home in December 2000 just before New York authorities planned to interview her about Kathleen Durst's disappearance.

Prosecutors say Robert Durst would be eligible for execution under special circumstances alleging murder of a witness and lying in wait with use of a gun. They will make that decision later.

That would be the first time someone with his wealth would be in the shadow of San Quentin's little green room (Execution chamber) to my knowledge..

It seems as though Robert Durst couldn't explain away the similarities between his handwriting and a letter he said "only the killer could have written" that alerted police to his friend's shooting 15 years ago.

Confronted with new evidence by the makers of a documentary about his life, the troubled millionaire blinked, burped oddly, pulled his ear and briefly put his head in his hands before denying he was the killer.

Then he stepped away from the tense interview and went to the bathroom, still wearing the live microphone that recorded what he said next.

"There it is. You're caught!" Robert Durst whispered to himself before running the tap water. "What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course."

That moment didn't just make for a captivating finale to a six-part documentary on the eccentric life of an heir to a New York real estate fortune.

It also may have given police and prosecutors the evidence they needed to close the long-cold case of a mobster's daughter. Susan Berman was felled by a bullet to the back of her head as investigators prepared to find out what she knew about the disappearance of Durst's wife in 1982.

This is a scary man....The world has been waiting for him to land his balloon and it just aint happenin...

Stay tuned for further details.

Something to Think About

Weekend Humor will return tomorrow...I thought I would post this meme because it says something...The Republicans want to make a big deal out of her using her personal emails while she was Secreatary of State, which is another so what? non-issue they are raising...But she never sent treasonous texts to a foreign government attempting to undermine our Commander and Chief like the Dirty 47 did...

Shame on them!

Just something to think about!

The Dirty 47

So let me get this straight....47 Republican senators of this government wrote to the Represenatives of a foreign government...One this nation views as hostile...That being Iran and attempted to undermine President Obama's nuclear policy.....and nobody thinks that this is treason?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

If some Democratic Senators did this to Presidents Reagon, Bush Sr...Baby Bush...There would be massive calls for impeachment....but these 47...I call em the Dirty 47 did this and nobody is calling for their blood?

They hate this Black man in the oval office that much?  And don't get me started on that stunt they pulled with the Prime Minister of Israel......

Senators who reached out to Iran’s leaders to undermine President Barack Obama’s nuclear negotiations probably broke the law, and they're going to get away with it. We are going to let them because I'm guessing..A whole of people don't know what they did and don't understand the ramifications of what they did if they do know..

The law they probably broke, the Logan Act of 1799, allows for fines and up to three years in prison. I looked it up...Yes...I read...Something the average American fails to do, despite having more information at their fingertip than ever before..

The act bans U.S. citizens from engaging “without authority of the United States” in “correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government ... with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government ... in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States.”
Fortunately for Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas and the 47 Senate co-signers of his open letter to Iran, the law is not enforced and is likely unconstitutional.

"They probably were in violation of the act, yes,” says Stephen Vladeck, a professor at the American University Washington College of Law.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, probably broke the law, too, by working with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to undermine the nuclear negotiations with Iran, he says.

But Vladeck, co-editor-in-chief of the legal blog Just Security, says senators could argue they were indeed acting with the authority of the United States or more convincingly that the act violates the First Amendment.
“The Logan Act is a vestigial and anachronistic holdover from a bygone era,” he says. “There's never been a successful prosecution under the act, and the last indictment was in 1803.”

Jonathan Turley, a law professor at the George Washington University, says "if the Logan Act was ever enforced you would have to frog march half of Congress out the front doors and into a federal penitentiary."

They have marched people to the penitentiary for far less.

Turley compares the likelihood of a prosecution under the act to “the chances of being eaten by a Tyrannosaurus rex on Capitol Hill.”

The Logan Act comes from a rather dark period in which this country imposed the Alien and Sedition Acts,” he says. “The language of the Logan Act is sweeping and in my view facially unconstitutional.”
A spokeswoman for Cotton did not respond to a request for comment.

The obscure, unenforced act periodically becomes a topic of conversation, such as when then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi met with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad in 2007, and likely will continue to do so until it’s repealed.

That aside....The nerve and the gaul of these 47 Senators to even draft a letter to an unfriendly government and attempt to undermine their own president....Oh that's right..He's not their president...He's Black.....

I'm just shaking my damn head....

This is dirty and low...Even for Republicans...

What Wisconsin Did Right

I would be tempted to say...Here we go again....Except that in this case...The Wisconsin Police Chief may have gotten it partially right...

There has been another police shooting of an unarmed Black man....I don't know any of the facts surrounding the shooting over the weekend of a young man who people say suffered from AHDD and Anxiety attacks

Apparently the police here have learned from the Ferguson Police how to handle a situation like this so it doesn't get out of hand..

Hours after the news hit of a white officer shooting an unarmed black man, the police chief of Wisconsin’s capital city was praying with the man’s grandmother, hoping to strike a conciliatory tone and avoid the riots that last year rocked Ferguson, Mo.

Police Chief Mike Koval said he knows Madison is being watched across the nation since 19-year-old Anthony Robinson’s death Friday evening, and he has gone out of his way to avoid what he once called Ferguson’s “missteps.”

“Folks are angry, resentful, mistrustful, disappointed, shocked, chagrined. I get that,” Chief Koval said this past Saturday. “People need to tell me squarely how upset they are with the Madison Police Department.”

How he handled this and how it got handled in Ferguson are completely different.

For one thing-
While Ferguson police initially gave little information about the shooting of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old, unarmed black man, Chief Koval rushed to the home of Robinson’s mother. She didn’t want to meet with him, he said, but he talked and prayed with Robinson’s grandmother in the driveway for 45 minutes.

It took a week for Ferguson to release the name of the officer who shot Brown...Darren Wilson ..Chief Koval announced the name of the officer involved in Madison, Matthew Kenny, the day after the shooting.

He volunteered to reporters that the officer had been involved in a fatal shooting in 2007, and that he had been cleared of wrongdoing.

On the day that Ferguson police named the officer who shot Brown, they also released a video showing what they said was Brown robbing a store. When Chief Koval was asked about Robinson’s criminal record Saturday, he declined to comment, saying it would be inappropriate to do so a day after the man died.

Listening Ferguson??

“We have a police chief who genuinely feels for a family’s loss. It should be abundantly clear to anyone following this incident that Madison, Wisconsin, is not Ferguson, Missouri,” said Jim Palmer, executive director of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association, the state’s largest police union.

But the chief’s measured approach hasn’t impressed some demonstrators. Chief Koval angered some of them this year with a blog post demanding they stop blaming police for their problems.

“There are no apologies that can repair the loss or deal with the loss of [Robinson],” said Brandi Grayson, an organizer with Young, Gifted and Black, a Madison group that has demonstrated against what it says is mistreatment of blacks by the justice system. “This was bound to happen. There’s nothing the chief can say short of changing the system.”

No one answered the door at Anthony Robinson’s mother’s home Sunday. A reporter left a note in the door asking her to contact the Associated Press but she has not done so as of Sunday afternoon.

Anthony Robinson died Friday night after Officer Matthew Kenny shot him in an apartment during a confrontation. Kenny had responded to a call of a man jumping in and out of traffic. Kenny forced his way into the apartment after hearing what Chief Koval described as a “disturbance.”

Of course there is probably way more to the story than that and I'll probably be blogging about it as the details make themselves known.

The state Justice Department’s Division of Criminal Investigation has taken over the investigation under a new state law passed last year that requires an outside agency to lead probes of officer-involved shootings. Justice spokeswoman Anne Schwartz declined to comment Sunday.

The shooting comes against a backdrop of multiple instances of white police officers killing unarmed black men around the country over the past year. The highest-profile incident was the death of Brown in Ferguson in August.

Regardless of what happens next I applaud Police Chief Koval for showing sensitivity to the community of the young man who was killed and not trying to demonize him and make him out to be a thug and at the same time not throwing his policeman under the bus...There is a way thes situations can be handled fairly for all sides involved while investigators search for the truth without inflaming either side....

Wisconsin at least got part of it right!

FOR TWO YEARS A MARRIED MAN WAS HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH AN ITALIAN WOMAN.

One night, she confided in him that she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he paid her a large sum of money to go to Italy and secretly have the child. He said, if she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child turned 18, and also pay for college. She......agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born.

To keep it discrete, he told her to simply mail him a post card, and write ''Spaghetti' on the back in the message area. He would then arrange for the child support payments to begin.

One day, about nine months later, he came home to his confused wife.
''Honey'' she said, ''You received a very strange post card today.''

He said ''Just give it to me and I'll explain it later.' '

She gave it to him and then watched as her husband turned white, then fainted after he read the card.

ON THE CARD WAS WRITTEN: SPAGHETTI, SPAGHETTI, SPAGHETTI, SPAGHETTI, SPAGHETTI. THREE WITH MEATBALLS, TWO WITHOUT. PLEASE SEND EXTRA SAUCE!!!

Is Anybody Surprised?

The Justice Department released their report on the Ferguson Police department yesterday....This unfortunately will have no bearing on the Michael Brown case....

A Justice Department civil rights investigation has concluded that the Ferguson Police Department and the city's municipal court engaged in a "pattern and practice" of discrimination against African-Americans, targeting them disproportionately for traffic stops, use of force, and jail sentences.

The probe is the result of an investigation ordered by Attorney General Eric Holder after the police shooting that killed Michael Brown last summer.

Among the findings, reviewed by CNN: from 2012 to 2014, 85% of people subject to vehicle stops by Ferguson police were African-American; 90% of those who received citations were black; and 93% of people arrested were black. This while 67% of the Ferguson population is black.

It seems  that in 88% of the cases in which police the Ferguson police reported using force, it was against African-Americans. During the period 2012-2014 black drivers were twice as likely as white drivers to be searched during traffic stops, but 26% less likely to be found in possession of contraband.

Blacks were disproportionately more likely to be cited for minor infractions: 95% of tickets for "manner of walking in roadway," essentially jaywalking, were against African Americans. Also, 94% of all "failure to comply" charges were filed against black people.

The findings in the investigation were made public Wednesday, and the Justice Department is expected to pursue a court-supervised consent decree that requires the city of Ferguson to make changes to its police and courts.

According to the findings, reviewed by CNN, African-Americans were 68% less likely to have their cases dismissed by a Ferguson municipal judge, and were overwhelmingly more likely to be arrested during traffic stops solely for an outstanding warrant by the Ferguson courts.

The investigators found evidence of racist jokes being sent around by Ferguson police and court officials. One November 2008 email read in part that President Barack Obama wouldn't likely be President for long because "what black man holds a steady job for four years."

Another jokes that made the rounds on Ferguson government email in May 2011 said: "An African American woman in New Orleans was admitted into the hospital for a pregnancy termination. Two weeks later she received a check for $3000. She phoned the hospital to ask who it was from. The hospital said: ''Crimestoppers.''

I have a question to ask....Is anybody surprised at  these findings? Anybody that is ,is pretty naive...People that live in St. Louis and that part of Missouri have long told me how racist that area is...I am not surprised...
Now in light of this climate...Is it no surprise that Michael Brown was gunned down by an officer who made up a story that no sensible person could possibly believe and got off scott free....

This report won't he;p Michael brown, won't get him any justice...Won't even remove the racist element from the Ferguson Police department..Essentially this report will do nothing...Unless it inspires that 67 percent of the population to get organized and to vote these people out of office and replace them with good people..I don't care what race they are...just better people than what you have right now...

If they aren't moved to action...then this report meant absolutely nothing.

What I've Learned

1. Nobody is as bad as the worst thing they've ever done..

2.Forgiveness is truly divine.

3.Keeping your cool is a virtue

4.Small Heroes, people you may not read about in the media or in history books change history everyday.

5.Change has often begun right in your neighborhood or surroundings...

6. A Good Idea always catches on.

7.Telling the truth is a great gift to have ,because not many people have it.

8.My grandmother always said that no matter what a man has done...He can get up in the morning, put on a clean shirt and they'll still call him "Mister"....Not the same for women....Unfair yes...but true!

9.Dig Deep enough and you'll always seperate the truth from the Bullshit!

10.Resilience is a virtue

Peace!
