Scared Yet?

I've got to know why we listen to her... Please! Somebody tell me why the American people are fascinated and interested in anything the now ex-governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, has to say about anything.

Sarah is calling for civil discourse on President Obama's health care proposal. Her latest posting on Facebook came just days after she characterized Obama's plan as "downright evil." Palin now says there are many disturbing details in the bill, but she says people must stick to discussion of the issues "and not get sidetracked by tactics that can be accused of leading to intimidation or harassment."

You've got people who can't spell socialism saying that President Obama is a socialist and that the United States is now a socialist nation. Really? Well, how come we don't have socialized healthcare ? Just like I thought... they are stumped! Scared yet? I am!

If what I'm seeing on television is correct, the people who are coming to the town hall meetings starting all of the commotion are some of the same types who were at the (uh, let's say rather spirited, i.e. racist) campaign rallies for McCain & Palin last year. Since these types usually don't have an original thought in their heads, let's take an educated guess as to just who is programming them and getting them all hyped. Hmmmmmmmmmm, wonder who that would be?

Sarah says that she is scared of Obama's health care initiative. Furthermore, she asked supporters not to give "proponents of nationalized health care "any reason to criticize us". Hah! That ship has sailed already!

You know, real journalists would have asked her what proof she had of the initiative being "evil" as she claims, but no one did and she didn't take any questions yesterday after she made her remarks. I think she called it a "death panel" that would determine who gets health care by their worth to society.

Newsflash, baby... right now if I don't have health coverage at my job or money provided to me by having four brothers that can sing and dance while I lead, my worth to the doctors ain't much. Where have you been?

Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck are good at saying things to scare people (the masses of the unthinking) and then, just leaving it at that. The gutless wonder journalists very rarely take them to task for what they spew, only happy to have a nice soundbite that draws ratings or sells newspapers. Thus, we have mass panic from the "Heartland".

They know that most Americans... black, white, or whatever... don't read anything much after the sports, entertainment, and comics and are more interested in American Idol and The Real Housewives of Atlanta than this stuff. Hell, I don't think Sarah or Rush read much for that matter. They know that they can say just about anything and it is taken for gospel.

So, Sarah Palin is scared, huh? She's scared and she's scaring me. Are you scared yet, America?

The only thing that scares me is society's ability to absorb bullsh*t (excuse my language), and run with it.

It's funny, they weren't saying this when Hillary Clinton was trying to clean up the Healthcare Industry.

She just couldn't get around the deep pockets.

Now that Obama has come up with a way to get around them, here come all the haters.

For racists, nothing trumps color. They rather be dirt poor and starving than give their support to a brother.

If they have no ideas to add to the discussion, then they need to shut up and sit down.

My thoughts exactly Rich!

I'm so scared I'm going to a town meeting tonight. You should join me at 6:30 pm at 315 South Broad Street. Some of us who think health care reform is needed have to come out so that the rest of America knows that this is truly a fringe element trying to scream their way to defeating President Obama. For a lot of them, it's not about health care, it's about a Black Man as the leader of the USA. Yesterday at Senator Spectre's town meeting a 35 year old white woman screamed at the senator asking when he was going to make things "right again in America, the way they were when the Constitution was written." What did she mean? Was this the time when I was counted as 3/5 of a human, or when I had no rights she or her brothers and sisters need be concerned with? These folks are angry because CHANGE is standing at their doorstep and they want things to stay the same. Isn't that the definition of a conservative?

There’s an old saying that goes, “Never let the past president of a social club hang around; they’ll still try to run things.”

This is the problem with the white establishment called the Republican Party. They lost, and to a Black Man no less. But they will do everything in their power to still run things. By any tactic they can devise including fear and lying.

I send an email to the Republican who reps my district everyday. Every-damn-day. Just to let him know a few of us are watching and his time is up next year.

The Republican Talking Heads do have one thing right...our country is being “stolen”, and it’s being stolen by them.

ARLENE - I noticed you said "South" Broad Street and not "North" Broad Street. God forbid a Legislator has to venture north of Temple University.

I mean damn...you might actually find people who need health care reform there. They can't possibly show up there.

We all know what this is about and to call a racist - a racist does little to stop their racists way.

When my father would argue an impires call, he told me he didn't think the umpire would change his mind, and therefore he was arguing for the NEXT call.

Palin was effective in her ability to gather the stupid. We saw her in the debates. She was terrible at debating the issues, her things was moving away from the issues and again, bending the minds of those that want to be mislead.

She's at it again. The republicans are mounting an attack for the next election. They are doing a pretty good job. The question is, what are we doing to imped their progress. They are going to do what they do ...monkey see-monkey do. What's on deck?!

Good Post as to be expected....The Republicans...I gotta give em credit are doing a good job of mis-informing the people about this healthcare initiative.

It seems like the Republican agenda is only to break and defeat the President. These idiots who support them don't realize that when he loses..We all lose.

The shame of it is...A lot of these protesters probably don't have Health care themselves and
will be the main ones to suffer if they successfully defeat the Obama
Health initiative.

Keith, i am so tired of Sarah Palin and all of these fools with all of this mess that i have taken a sabbatical from news altogether. But you have it right and have pointed out the obvious...what i do is pray for my president and i will support his decisions, not blindly, but with forethought, but it is so sad that this country and these people will show their true face... of hate and discord and will play their race card in order to fool the masses into believing that he is the cause of all their problems. It is so sad...but then again...it was all foretold.

That is one woman I have never been able to even come close to taking seriously. She's a joke. I can't believe the people of Alaska voted her their Governor. Who the hell did she beat?

This is all about tearing President Obama down. It has nothing to do with anything else.

Sarah Palin should be scared. Her and all the rest of those Republican nut jobs.

Sure is funny how they are all about spreading the fear and hate, but now they are the ones that are experiencing real fear.

And then they don't even realize that they are getting a dose of their own medicine.

How does it feel Sarah Palin?
