Well, I'm tagged again! This time, many "thanks" go out to CurvyGurl over at The CurvyGurl Chronicles for honoring me with the Honest Scrap Award. We have been fans of each other's blogs for a while now. So, without further delay, let's get to it...

10 Honest & Interesting Things About Me:
1. I have never blogged about it but, I'm a huge boxing fan.
2. The smell of fish can actually make me nauseous.
3. I've never been to California (I've been everywhere else though).
4. My mother and I shared the same astrological sign (Aries.)
5. My grandson (January) and I (March) were both born on the 24th day of the month.
6. I was about 5'9" until I turned 15 years old... then, I shot up past 6' and haven't looked back (or down) ever since.
7. I ran the fastest recorded quarter-mile in my high school's history in 1976. My cousin Lamont broke my record in 1984. This proves that getting old is truly not fun sometimes.
8. My mother named me after an actor. My first name was his last name. Do you wanna take a guess as to who it was? The answer is Brian Keith (now deceased star of the old TV series "Family Affair"). Naming me after an actor is kinda fitting... I've often had a flair for the dramatic, or so I've been told.
9. High Noon was one of my favorite movies.I must have watched it six times. I always identified with Gary Cooper, who had to face the bad guys all by himself because everybody else ran away. I've often had that alone against the world feeling.
10. I have always marched to the beat of my own drum. I guess after reading this blog, most of you have come to realize that about me.

LOL! Good stuff! I was named after a character on the edge of night and so I would have the nickname of Nikki after Nikki Giovanni.
Something about Aries and entertainment inspired names.

p.s. like you, i was a late bloomer in height... i was under 6' until i was 14 or 15 and then quickly shot up to 6'4" before i graduated from high school!
